\n\tWhile we\u2019re still wrapped up in the finale of The White Lotus season 3, and everything that unraveled<\/a> at the White Lotus Hotel in Thailand, we\u2019re also looking ahead to season 4 to see what creator Mike White has in store for us next.<\/p>\n

\n\tLuckily, The White Lotus season 4 was confirmed in January 2025, Variety<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

\t\tDoes The White Lotus Season 4 Have a Release Date?\t<\/p>\n

\n\tThere is no official release date for The White Lotus season 4 but here\u2019s what we\u2019re expecting.<\/p>\n

\n\tThere was a little over a year between the first season in July 2021 and the second in October 2022. Season 3 then took a little more time, premiering over two years later in February 2025. Our guess is that season 4 might be sometime in late 2026 or early 2027, with that in mind.<\/p>\n

\n\tRegardless of where the show ends up for season 4, we know they\u2019ll be reaching a decision very soon. \u201cThere\u2019s already pressure from HBO<\/a> [for season four],\u201d White said to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> in April. \u201cWhen they have something they\u2019re bullish on, they want to get it out there. We were supposed to start scouting in April, and I was like, \u2018You guys, I haven\u2019t been home in three years.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\tWhere Will Be The White Lotus Season 4\u2019s Be Set?\t<\/p>\n

\n\tThe White Lotus season 4 is expected to be set in France, according to Deadline. The outlet reported on September 4 that White and HBO have zeroed in on the European destination but we have yet to learn exactly where. <\/p>\n

\n\tHBO has a marketing partnership with the Four Seasons hotel chain and all previous seasons of the show have been filmed in a Four Season hotel. eason 1 was in Hawaii, season 2 in Sicily, and season 3 in Thailand.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Four Seasons have several locations in France, speculation has focused on Grand-H\u00f4tel du Cap-Ferrat, a hotel perched on the tip of the Cap-Ferrat peninsula on the French Riviera.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis speculation is in line with what Executive Vice President and Head of Drama Programming at HBO, Francesca Orsi, told Deadline<\/a> in February. \u201cWe\u2019re going on some location scouting in the next couple of weeks, so we\u2019ll know soon,\u201d Orsi said. \u201cI can\u2019t really say where we\u2019re going to land, but chances are somewhere in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNorwegian outlet Bergens Tidende<\/a> reported in February that the show reached out to the Norwegian Film Institute for a sizable grant to film a season before season 3, however, producers appeared to shut down that idea in an April interview with The Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n

\n\tShow producer David Bernad suggested that any cold locations were likely out of the question. \u201cI\u2019d bet $100,000 we don\u2019t end up in the cold next,\u201d he told The Hollywood Reporter. \u201cEven if we flirted with the idea, Mike just wouldn\u2019t want to be in the cold. He hates it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, White also acknowledged that, after shooting in Thailand, it would be hard not to choose a country that would benefit from having a large production shoot there. \u201cWhere we choose to go next could be hugely impactful [to that locale],\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis idea that somehow we can help people make a better living, to me, there\u2019s a lot to be said for that. We almost have a responsibility to go somewhere that can benefit,\u201d Bernad added.<\/p>\n

\t\tWho Is in \u2018The White Lotus\u2019 Season 4 Cast?\t<\/p>\n

\n\tSadly, there are no details yet on casting for season 4. According to White himself, knowing what the story is will come first, then comes finding the location and casting the stars.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, we do know that plenty of actors will be vying for a role in season 4. Casting director Meredith Tucker said she\u2019s already getting calls from agents about season 4. \u201cHe has not written one thing. What are these people talking about? Don\u2019t call me until after this one,\u201d she told The Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEveryone auditions for The White Lotus,\u201d season 3 star Carrie Coon added.<\/p>\n

\n\tOne potential season 4 contender is Woody Harrelson, who seems to have circled the series for the last couple of seasons. White revealed that the actor paid a visit to the Sicily set in season 2 and was considered for the role of Rick Hatchett in season 3, a role that ultimately went to Walton Goggins.<\/p>\n

\n\tSources allege that Harrelson went all the way to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav to negotiate a salary higher than the reported $40,000 all stars make per episode. Harrelson wasn\u2019t successful but still signed on before eventually dropping out due to scheduling conflicts.<\/p>\n

\t\tWill There Be A \u2018The White Lotus\u2019 All-Stars Season?\t<\/p>\n

\n\tIn season 2, Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge<\/a>) and Greg (Jon Gries)<\/a> returned after starring in season 1. In season 3, Gries returned alongside Belinda (Natasha Rothwell)<\/a>. So, it\u2019s safe to say that White has no problem with bringing characters back after their main season. But would he ever want an all-star season with only beloved previous characters? <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve heard rumors of them doing an all-star season,\u201d Patrick Schwarzenegger told White in The Hollywood Reporter cover. \u201cI\u2019d love to do that,\u201d White responded.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThey could get all the douche guys in one hotel together,\u201d Schwarzenegger then suggested. \u201cMike said that one day when we were on set, he was like, \u2018Oh my God, it\u2019d be so good to get you, Jake Lacy and Theo James in the same room.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMaybe Molly Shannon\u2019s character and Victoria Ratliff know each other?\u201d HBO executive Casey Bloys chimed in. \u201cThere are so many connections between all these awful people.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tDespite their brainstorming, it seems an all-star season could work, but not in season 4. \u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019ll be Season 4, but that\u2019s still on the horizon,\u201d Orsi told Deadline. \u201cIt\u2019s still in discussion, but it\u2019s too early.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\tWe Do Know of One Change for \u2018The White Lotus\u2019 Season 4\t<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile The White Lotus season 4 is still in the early planning stages, one thing is for sure \u2014 there will be new music. The show\u2019s longtime composer Crist\u00f3bal Tapia de Veer left the show after season 3 due to disagreements with White.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an April 2 interview with the New York Times<\/a>, Tapia de Veer revealed their feud escalated after the removal of the signature \u201cooh-loo-loo-loo\u201d\u00a0and \u201cooh-loo-loo-loos\u201d\u00a0from the opening credits<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cPeople [were] furious about the change of the theme, and I thought that was interesting,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cI texted the producer and I told him that it would be great to, at some point, give them the longer version with the ooh-loo-loo-loos, because people will explode if they realize that it was going there anyway. He thought it was a good idea. But then Mike cut that \u2014 he wasn\u2019t happy about that.\u201d <\/p>\n
