The royal family has decamped to the Scottish highlands for their annual summer vacation, and Queen Camilla was recently spotted out and about near Balmoral Castle<\/a> with her family.<\/p>\n The Queen was joined in the town of Ballater, Scotland\u2014just a few miles from Balmoral\u2014by her sister Annabel Elliott<\/a>, her daughter Laura Lopes<\/a>, and her rarely-seen granddaughter<\/a>, Eliza Lopes, 18. Also reportedly present were her 16-year-old twin grandsons Gus and Harry Lopes (Eliza\u2019s younger brothers), but they were not photographed. Camilla and her family went into a Scottish cashmere store and a bookstore.<\/p>\n For the shopping trip, Queen Camilla kept it casual in jeans and a barn jacket; her granddaughter chose a pair of slouchy denim pants, adding a floral red bomber jacket. Her daughter Laura (partially obscured behind Eliza, above) wore an oversized blazer.<\/p>\n Eliza last made a public appearance at King Charles and Queen Camilla\u2019s 2023 coronation<\/a>; before that, her most notable public outing was as a bridesmaid at Prince William and Kate Middleton\u2019s 2011 royal wedding<\/a>.<\/p>\n Eliza, in blue, arriving at the coronation in 2023.<\/p>\n Michael Middleton, Carole Middleton, then-Prince Charles, holding bridesmaid Eliza Lopes and Camilla, then the Duchess of Cornwall, at William and Kate\u2019s royal wedding.<\/p>\n Queen Camilla\u2019s family<\/a> keeps a lower profile, though both her sister and her children Laura and Tom sometimes attend events with her. At her coronation, her dress featured a tribute to her grandchildren<\/a>, with their names embroidered throughout her Bruce Oldfield gown.<\/p>\n It is not known whether or not Camilla\u2019s family is with the royals at Balmoral. King Charles formally began his summer stay at the castle<\/a> today by carrying out an inspection of the Balaklava Company, 5th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
