The company is giving a significant upgrade to its interconnection segment to further ease the user experience.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the first time Huawei phone users will be able to unlock their handsets directly from the tablet or PC under the multi-device or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huaweicentral.com\/harmonyos-6-will-expand-multi-screen-features-to-tablets-pcs-in-december\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">multi-screen collaboration<\/a> feature.<\/p>\n<p>The new software version unlocks many useful features \u2013 from 3D spatial wallpapers to an upgraded outdoor mode.<\/p>\n<p>But the highlight of HarmonyOS 7.0 beta is the new multi-device collaboration feature that enables you to link devices and work seamlessly even when your main phone is locked.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ithome.com\/0\/991\/355.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">users<\/a>, if the phone is locked and connected to the MatePad tablet, the multi-screen collaboration will support unlocking the main device (here, the locked phone) using the face or fingerprint method on the tablet.<\/p>\n<p>Unlock feature in multi-device collaboration<\/p>\n<p>Users can choose from the two options given below to unlock the main device right from the secondary one within a few seconds:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use phone lock screen password<\/li>\n<li>Face or fingerprint registration using a tablet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-153371\" class=\"size-full wp-image-153371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/multi-screen-collaboration-feature.jpg\" alt=\"HarmonyOS 7.0 multi-device collaboration feature\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1413\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-153371\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Image Credits: Weibo)<\/p>\n<p>Multi-device or multi-screen collaboration in the Huawei device ecosystem lets your phone, tablet, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huaweicentral.com\/huawei-plans-to-expand-dual-layer-oled-use-for-phones-tablets-pcs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PC<\/a> work as one unified system. It projects your phone display directly onto other devices, such as a tablet or MateBook laptop.<\/p>\n<p>However, it doesn\u2019t fully work if the main phone is locked and attempts to access or mirror a locked phone from another screen, prompting you to unlock the main device first for security reasons.<\/p>\n<p>HarmonyOS 7.0 closed beta is now out for a handful of flagship Huawei smartphones and tablets.
