\t\tMonzo faced a bank outage on Wednesday.\t<\/p>\n
UK fintech Monzo has suffered an outage<\/a> that has left thousands of its users unable to use its banking services.<\/p>\n The digital bank<\/a> said it had \u201cidentified some issues\u201d and initiated a stand-in backup service, which would allow users to still complete card payments and receive transfers.<\/p>\n But some users have continued to raise concerns on social media that the service was still not working as expected.<\/p>\n Multiple customers raised concerns that they were expecting a transfer and it was not showing in their balance.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m meant to be receiving my pay early today and I can\u2019t even access the option to do so. Please can you fix this I have things to do,\u201d one user wrote on X.<\/p>\n Users who log onto the app are greeted with the message: \u201cWe\u2019re experiencing issues. We\u2019ll let you know when they\u2019re resolved.\u201d<\/p>\n The Downdetector, which tracks banking outages, displayed a sharp rise in outage reports for Monzo around midday as more than 3,000 flagged their issues with the app.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tRead more<\/p>\n \t\t\tMonzo chair makes early exit after boardroom rift<\/a><\/p>\n It marks the second big outage for the fintech this year after customers were left unable to access cash on their app in a January debacle.<\/p>\n Outages have continued to trouble the wider industry with Lloyds Banking Group \u2013 which consists of Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland \u2013\u00a0suffering a \u201ctechnical glitch\u201d that led to customers seeing other users\u2019 transactions on their mobile app.<\/p>\n
