Phones change, incumbents get comfortable, and we even get some new players show up doing some pretty interesting stuff. So we\u2019re back at it for 2026 with our updated guide to the best MagSafe wallets you can buy right now.<\/p>\n
The process was simple in theory, but it was also a little brutal. We brought in dozens of wallets, including plenty of fresh faces along with models we\u2019ve been using for years, and put them all through the same paces.\u00a0<\/p>\n
We had one \u201cno exceptions\u201d rule, and it was that anything with a weak magnet was eliminated immediately. Considering that\u2019s the whole job of this category, it was pretty shocking how many failed it.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re also not going to spend any time selling you on why MagSafe wallets are great. If you\u2019re here, you already know: phone, cards, cash and nothing extra in your pockets.\u00a0<\/p>\n
For reference, everything here was both shot and tested on an iPhone 17 Pro. So without further ado, let\u2019s get into it.<\/p>\n

Oh Snap Snap Grip Wallet Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n Ohsnap made its name on Kickstarter back in 2019 with the original Snap Grip, and this wallet is essentially that fan-favorite grip with card storage built around it.<\/p>\n The construction is machined aluminum with RFID blocking, ours in a colorway Ohsnap literally named \u201cBoring Black.\u201d It hauls up to 8 flat cards, or 5 with raised lettering, and an internal expansion mechanism keeps the profile slim whether you\u2019re carrying one card or maxing it out.\u00a0<\/p>\n Using the wallet is straight forward. Pop the wallet off, thumb the stack through the bottom slot, and fan out exactly what you need.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s talk about that grip for a second. It sits completely flush until you need it, then pops out into a low-profile disc you can pinch between two fingers, and the whole thing articulates. Tilt it out further and it becomes a proper kickstand with actual adjustability in the viewing angle.<\/p>\n We did test this wallet specifically against the popular PopSocket from our last guide, but we just preferred the range of motion on Oh Snap\u2019s wallet, and admittedly, we\u2019re not huge fans of the PopSocket branding.\u00a0<\/p>\n We found the magnet to be pretty strong over months of use, and the back is outwardly magnetic too, so your phone sticks to car mounts and metal surfaces with the wallet still attached. The aluminum does kill wireless charging passthrough, but that\u2019s the only real trade-off here.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 8 cards (5 embossed) UAG Metropolis Kevlar MagSafe Wallet Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n Admittedly, anytime a product sheet says Kevlar, it\u2019s going to get our attention. We\u2019re suckers for over-engineered gear, and UAG knew exactly what they were doing here.\u00a0<\/p>\n The brand built its reputation on MIL-SPEC drop-tested phone cases, and the Metropolis brings that same overengineered energy to their MagSafe wallet.<\/p>\n Of course, the Kevlar inlay is the centerpiece here. The weave has a dense, technical texture that feels really durable in hand, offset by subtle orange stitching and a smooth leather-like interior that makes it feel more like a high-end technical wallet than a gimmicky tactical wallet. It was actually one of the nicer material combos on this entire guide.<\/p>\n The layout is a hinged bifold that holds up to 6 cards plus folded bills, all with RFID blocking. Your most-used card rides in the exterior quick-access pocket, where a thumb cutout at the bottom lets you push it straight up without having to open the wallet, while the rest stay tucked inside the hinge.\u00a0<\/p>\n That hinge keeps everything locked down in transit, and it also lets the wallet flip into a kickstand with both portrait and landscape modes.<\/p>\n And then there\u2019s the magnet. UAG packed a 2.5mm unit in here, and it was easily one of the strongest we tested across the entire guide. This thing plants itself on the phone and doesn\u2019t budge.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 6 cards + bills Moft Trackable Snap-On Wallet Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n The original Moft Snap-On Stand & Wallet earned a spot on our last guide, and this new Trackable version takes everything we loved about that fan favorite and adds the only feature it was really missing \u2013 and that\u2019s Apple Find My.<\/p>\n The formula is pretty unchanged from the last version we featured, and it\u2019s still just as good. Moft\u2019s origami-inspired wallet is constructed from MOVAS vegan leather, and operates as a grip, a wallet, and a stand with three modes including portrait, landscape, and a floating mode that props the phone up off the desk.\u00a0<\/p>\n Card access runs through that same fold. Simply flip the leaf down and your cards sit right there. There\u2019s no removal from the phone required.<\/p>\n At 2.1 ounces, it doesn\u2019t add any real weight to the phone, and the 15N magnets do hold a bit tighter than the original did.<\/p>\n Lose track of it and you can ping a 70dB speaker or locate it globally through Apple\u2019s network. And unlike other trackable wallets that need proprietary cables, this one recharges wirelessly on any Qi or MagSafe charger, and a single 90-minute charge runs it for six months.<\/p>\n It is worth mentioning that card capacity dropped from three to two with the tracking hardware inside, and there\u2019s no RFID blocking here. But if that matters, Moft\u2019s Field Wallet has you covered.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 2 cards Pelican Protector MagSafe Wallet Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n Alright, we\u2019re admittedly a bit biased on this one. As creatives, our studio runs on Pelican cases. We use them for hauling camera bodies, knives, and tools to and from location, so seeing that same engineering shrunk down to a MagSafe wallet is right up our alley.<\/p>\n And that\u2019s exactly what this is \u2013 a Pelican case for your cards and cash, attached to the back of your phone. Pop the latch and you\u2019ll find two compartments, including room for 3 cards on one side and a fold of cash pinned under a perforated retention band on the other. It even borrows the hardshell clamshell design right down to the proper snap latch borrowed from its full-size siblings.<\/p>\n Of course, there are a few trade-offs here. At nearly half an inch thick, this thing is unapologetically bulky. If a slim profile is anywhere on your priority list, we would advise you to look elsewhere on this guide.<\/p>\n But when it comes to that magnet? It\u2019s arguably the strongest we tested across every MagSafe wallet, period. Once it\u2019s planted on the phone, you have to work to remove it.<\/p>\n For Pelican loyalists and overengineering enthusiasts, this wallet is hard to beat- and it\u2019s also the cheapest option on our guide.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 3 cards + cash Journey LOC8 VERSA MagSafe Money Clip Wallet & Stand Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n If you love a premium traditional leather bifold but love the thought of MagSafe, Journey\u2019s LOC8 VERSA is definitely worth a look. It\u2019s probably the only option on this guide that actually feels like a full-size wallet living on the back of your phone.<\/p>\n The natural Nappa leather is remarkably soft in hand, wrapped around a leather-clad metal hinge that opens like a proper bifold to reveal five card slots and a metal money clip inside.\u00a0<\/p>\n Like the Moft, it\u2019s also Apple Find My enabled, but Journey adds a louder 80dB speaker for pinging it nearby, plus RFID blocking. It also recharges wirelessly, with each charge lasting 3 to 5 months, and it doubles as a stand in both orientations.<\/p>\n The magnets are fantastic, and we found them to hold tight through daily use, though it is worth mentioning that the wallet can spin slightly on its axis when nudged, which is likely a function of its full-size footprint on the MagSafe ring.<\/p>\n It is the priciest option on this guide, but for the traditional wallet faithful, it\u2019s still a solid rec.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 5 cards + money clip Secrid Cardprotector for MagSafe Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n Ejector wallets are nothing new, but we\u2019d argue that few do it better than the folks at Secrid. The Dutch brand launched their Cardprotector all the way back 2009 and picked up a Red Dot Design Award for its innovation. So naturally, it makes sense that they\u2019d earn a spot here when they finally decided to build a MagSafe version.<\/p>\n This is essentially the wallet we\u2019ve always loved but now with a MagSafe ring grafted onto the back. The anodized aluminum housing still protects cards against bending, breaking, and RFID skimming. It still holds 6 flat cards (or 4 embossed), and still delivers that crisp one-handed eject. And the magnet is also best-in-class for these ejector style wallets.<\/p>\n We did test this head-to-head against Ekster\u2019s Cardholder Pro, which is one of the other big names in MagSafe ejectors, and the Secrid won pretty comfortably. It just had a better ejection action, stronger magnet, and it was a bit less money.\u00a0<\/p>\n There is no wireless charging through all that aluminum, but that\u2019s category specific to all ejector-wallets across the board.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 6 flat \/ 4 embossed cards Nomad Slim Horween Leather Wallet Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n You might think a leather wallet is just a leather wallet, and that couldn\u2019t be further from the truth. Nomad sources this leather from Chicago\u2019s legendary Horween tannery, operating since 1905 and widely considered America\u2019s finest.<\/p>\n Not only does this leather smell intoxicating out of the box, but if you\u2019ve never handled the real thing next to the cheap \u201cgenuine leather\u201d stuff flooding Amazon, it\u2019s literally night and day. This wallet is supple, rich, and will definitely patina over the years rather than wearing out and falling apart.<\/p>\n The design here is beautifully simple. It\u2019s a top-loading pocket holding 1 to 4 cards, with a thumb cutout at the base so you push the stack up and out in one motion. An internal spring mechanism keeps a single card just as secure as a full four. And the magnets are pretty solid as well.<\/p>\n At 9mm thin and 47 grams, it pairs nicely with the phone, and the way it contours into your palm while scrolling or talking on the phone is one of the nicest in-hand feels we tested.<\/p>\n Nomad also snuck Find My tracking inside, with sound alerts for hunting it down nearby , although there is no UWB precision finding like a true AirTag. It also features recharging that runs 5 months per charge.\u00a0<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 1-4 cards Aulumu G03 Multi-Tool Magnetic Metal Wallet Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n With sharp angles, exposed hardware, and laser-etched labels on every surface, the G03 looks like it was pulled straight out of a cyberpunk loadout screen \u2013 and that\u2019s really been Aulumu\u2019s MO since hitting the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n The brand came out of nowhere over the last few years to become quite the force in the tech accessories space, and nobody is designing products quite like them.<\/p>\n The aluminum alloy frame wears a carbon fiber cover, and the whole thing stays pretty slim at 8.2mm and 72 grams. It\u2019s got a bit more capacity than many other wallets on the guide, hauling 12 cards plus cash, with cards pushed out through a side opening rather than opening the frame. Aulumu also includes two RFID-blocking cards to shield the stack.<\/p>\n Utility is definitely the name of the game here. A stainless steel kickstand props the phone horizontally or vertically, a replaceable elastic strap doubles as a finger grip, there\u2019s a bottle opener, a mini ruler, a corkscrew etched into the frame, lanyard holes, and a removable AirTag holder in the box. It\u2019s also TSA compliant and works just as well off the phone as a standalone card case. <\/p>\n We also have to highlight the magnets, as there were pretty impressive \u2013 among the strongest we tested.\u00a0<\/p>\n Admittedly, the aggressive tacti-cool aesthetic is both the pro and the Achilles heel here. If you want something that blends in with Apple\u2019s design language, you\u2019re gonna want to look elsewhere. But if this look speaks to you, nothing else really compares.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 12+ cards + cash Dango MagSafe Wallet Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n Take the Nomad\u2019s stitched leather and the Pelican\u2019s machined armor, and you\u2019ve basically arrived at Dango\u2019s MagSafe wallet. Molded genuine leather sits inside a CNC-machined 6061 aluminum frame with exposed screws, and it makes for this sort of industrial minimalism look.\u00a0<\/p>\n And that really sums up Dango\u2019s entire design language across all of their EDC gear. The Bay Area brand is one of the OGs of the tactical wallet space, a category they helped invent. And this is basically that DNA translated to MagSafe.<\/p>\n A metal snap-back hinge flips the leather flap open to deploy your cards (up to 4, plus folded cash tucked behind), locking at several points along its travel with a really satisfying action. Open it further and those same lock points turn the wallet into a sturdy phone stand in portrait or landscape. Everything about the operation here feels solid, and the magnets follow suit. They\u2019re super strong, and really confidence-inspiring through daily carry.\u00a0<\/p>\n Now, like the Pelican case, the honest trade-off is heft. At 10mm thick, it looks minimalist but carries a little bulky, sitting squarely between the Nomad and the Pelican in both feel and philosophy. You have to be into the industrial aesthetic to really love it.<\/p>\n But if you are, it works great as a stand alone pocket wallet off the phone, and it comes backed by a lifetime warranty.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 4 cards + cash ESR Geo Magnetic Wallet Stand Grip Pros <\/p>\n Cons <\/p>\n ESR was the name our readers and viewers kept bringing up after our last MagSafe roundup, and while it just missed the cut the last time around, we felt the Geo earned the final slot on today\u2019s guide.<\/p>\n Functionally it\u2019s the Moft\u2019s closest rival on this guide. It\u2019s made from vegan leather, folds into an adjustable stand with Find My built in.\u00a0<\/p>\n But the Geo definitely carves out its own identity. The stand adjusts anywhere from 15 to 170 degrees in both portrait and landscape rather than fixed angles, and the grip is really clever. It\u2019s basically a fabric loop with a sliding anchor button that travels up and down the wallet\u2019s face, so your fingers land wherever it feels most natural for you. It\u2019s definitely a cooler solution than Moft\u2019s fold, and we found it to be more pleasant for day-to-day use.<\/p>\n Capacity is 5 cards with three riding in the outer quick-access pocket, and the fold opens to stash two more behind RFID blocking. The Find My setup mirrors the Moft\u2019s, with a 90-minute wireless charge running about six months, plus a speaker for pinging it as well.<\/p>\n We also tested this directly against the MagBak, which is probably its closest on-paper rival, and the ESR simply held stronger for us. ESR\u2019s own lab numbers claim up to 3,200 grams of grip with their magnetic cases, and while we didn\u2019t verify that figure, the confidence tracks with what we felt while carrying the wallet daily.<\/p>\n Capacity:<\/strong> 5 cards 7 Best Minimalist Backpacks for Everyday Carry <\/p>\n
