Earlier this month<\/a>, Beasley announced the sale of WNKS to K-Love, Inc\/EMF.<\/p>\nEdwards has been named Beasley Media Group Market Manager of the Year five times. He has also served on the executive committees of the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and North Carolina Association of Broadcasters, along with community and charitable organizations in the markets where he worked.<\/p>\n
The move to Charlotte was particularly meaningful for Edwards, who grew up in nearby Belmont, NC, and got his start in radio while he was still in high school.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeasley Media Group has been such an important part of my life and career journey,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cI\u2019ve had the privilege of working alongside some incredibly talented people, serving amazing communities, and helping grow iconic radio brands across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
Edwards thanked Beasley leadership, colleagues and partners for the opportunities and relationships he developed during his career. He said he plans to spend time with his family, including his two grandsons and a granddaughter on the way, before pursuing \u201cnew adventures.\u201d<\/p>\n
Beasley Chief Operating Officer Brian Beasley said Edwards\u2019 departure marks the end of a significant chapter for the company.<\/p>\n

Beasley credited Edwards with bringing a commitment to radio, his teams and the communities served by the company.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis passion for radio, commitment to excellence, and dedication to our teams and the communities we serve have made a lasting impact across every market he has led,\u201d Beasley said.<\/p>\n
