\n\tThe fight between country music artist Charlie Crockett<\/a> and guitar legend Jack White <\/a>is the feud that keeps on giving.\u00a0Crocket fired a shot at White, after White fired off one of his own missives earlier today, Aug. 19.<\/p>\n

\n\tIf you\u2019re just entering the chat, it might seem that Crockett and White are currently arguing over who\u2019s been the most politically vocal through their career, but the tiff started<\/a> when Crockett released \u201cSatanic doo-wop\u201d duo Twin Temple as his opening act for the Age of the Ram tour. The duo, husband and wife team Alexandra James and Zachary James, claimed they were fired because of their use of satanic imagery; although song titles like \u201cI Am a Witch,\u201d and \u201cSatanic Orgy,\u201d would probably clue people in without ever needing to see their production design.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTo us, Satan is a metaphor for exploring all of these things in our art. It\u2019s the images that have always resonated with us,\u201d Alexandra told Rolling Stone<\/a>. \u201cAnd Satan\u2019s the original outlaw, right? He\u2019s a rebel angel. He\u2019s the one who questioned authority, fought for himself, refused to bow down or conform, and was like non serviam. That was a metaphor that resonated very strongly with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhite offered the group an opening slot on his tour supporting Frozen Charlotte. But when Crockett accused Twin Temple of making the controversy up and dragging him \u201cby a rope real good,\u201d he also said he lost \u201crespect\u201d for White. White \u2014 in effortless fashion \u2014 hit back<\/a> by posting the full lyrics to the Shawn Brown\u2019s John Wayne Parody \u201cRappin\u2019 Duke.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCrockett then hit back against White on Wednesday with a callout the size of a CVS receipt, where he quoted rapper Jay-Z and called White \u201cMr. Suzy Cream Puff,\u201d which appears to have been taken down at press time.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t care what you said in you\u2019re [sp] songs. I\u2019m talking about your public statements back when it was on the line in 2003. Look up my first record A Stolen Jewel,\u201d Crockett wrote in the since-deleted post. \u201cI been about it. Lemme guess, you got Che Guevara and Malcolm X on your shelf, maybe even Fred Hampton, but at the end of the day you get in the Lamborghini and put your kids in private school.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tWith today\u2019s war of words, Crockett is back on the offensive. It\u2019s unclear whether White will take the bait, but Crockett seems to be digging in his heels. Or at least, asking for someone to take another swing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf you want the smoke, I\u2019m your man,\u201d Crockett wrote, ending the post with an emoji of a boxing glove.\u00a0<\/p>\n
