Students are moving into their dorms at campuses all over the country, and some of those dorm rooms are looking a little different these days.<\/p>\n
Instead of putting up a few posters on the walls, some parents are hiring interior designers to transform their kids rooms into high end living spaces.<\/p>\n
69 News’ Amelia Sack has the details on the dorm room decorating, and introduces us to one interior designer who’s gone viral.<\/p>\n
Some people spend hundreds of dollars on dorm room decorations, but how about thousands… even tens of thousands.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Take a look at the work of Shelley Gates, a former school teacher turned interior designer from Mississippi who has people talking with her impressive, but expensive dorm room transformations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Gates charges up to $20,000 for her work.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This includes a full top to bottom room makeover, furnishing and materials, and white glove service with movers and installation before your student arrives on campus.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Her room transformations are getting a lot of attention, so much so that it’s even gaining some negative attention, forcing Gates to turn off the comments on her videos, blocking out the haters.\u00a0<\/p>\n
