\n\tJosh Radnor<\/a> recently told the \u201cHalf the Picture<\/a>\u201d podcast that he is \u201cnot even a little bit\u201d close to his \u201cHow I Met Your Mother<\/a>\u201d co-stars, despite filming together for 208 episodes across 9 seasons.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen asked if he\u2019s still tight with his \u201cHow I Met Your Mother\u201d family, Radnor said, \u201cNo. Not even a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe explained, \u201cI don\u2019t mean that in any dramatic way. It\u2019s just\u2026 We had Neil [Patrick Harris] on the podcast, and he and I had a really interesting conversation about some of the tension we had on set that was fascinating and kind of healing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRadnor hosts a \u201cHIMYM\u201d rewatch podcast with series co-creator Craig Thomas. Harris appeared on an episode earlier in 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe explained that he and Jason Segel \u201csend each other texts every once in a while,\u201d but he hasn\u2019t seen him in \u201ca really long time.\u201d As for Cobie Smulders, who\u2019s been on his podcast a few times, he\u2019s \u201cseen her mostly on Zoom.\u201d Radnor recalled seeing Alyson Hannigan last at his wedding in 2024.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have love for all these people,\u201d Radnor said. \u201cIt\u2019s like college where you have this very intense time together, and you think you\u2019re going to be \u2014 you can\u2019t imagine not seeing each other every day because you\u2019ve seen each other every day for so long. And then it just disperses, and you just go out and live your life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe continued, \u201cI think it\u2019s a little more like family than friends in that you don\u2019t get to choose your family. We were cast. We didn\u2019t choose each other. And family dynamics come out to play when you\u2019re in an environment like that for so long. But you also have love that is quite deep and rich and probably everlasting, but it\u2019s not an active love.
