information about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/tags\/crime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/tags\/crime\/\">murder<\/a> of a Catholic teenager more than 50 years ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 18-year-old\u2019s partially clothed body was found at the bottom of Hadden\u2019s Quarry in Aughnacloy, Co Tyrone, in March 1973. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The teenager, who was from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/tags\/portadown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/tags\/portadown\/\">Portadown<\/a>, had earlier been seen leaving a dance in the company of a man and concerns were later raised when she failed to meet her brother for a lift home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Last year a Police Ombudsman report highlighted numerous failings in the police investigation into her death.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"c-link\" class=\"c-paragraph\">Earlier this year PSNI chief constable Jon Boutcher ordered an independent peer review into the murder investigation to be carried out by Bedfordshire police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The PSNI\u2019s Legacy Investigations Branch (LIB) has been looking at the case and last month police arrested a man aged in his 70s who was later released on police bail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Crimestoppers charity has now offered \u00a320,000 for information about the murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A spokeswoman for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/tags\/psni\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/tags\/psni\/\">PSNI<\/a> said police do now know what happened after the victim left the dance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI appreciate this murder took place over 50 years ago but we would like to talk to anyone who was at the dance at Hadden\u2019s Garage on the night of Friday, March 30, 1973,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cMarian\u2019s family deserves to know what happened to her that night and our investigation
