{"id":648953,"date":"2026-08-21T11:31:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T11:31:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/648953\/"},"modified":"2026-08-21T11:31:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T11:31:12","slug":"man-dies-following-collision-near-kerry-cork-border","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/648953\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dies following collision near Kerry\/Cork border"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man in his 30&#8217;s has died following a collision involving a car and a motorbike near the Kerry\/Cork border yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>A motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The collision happened on the\u00a0Caha Pass on the N71 Ring of Beara road.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/caha-pass-to-remain-closed-overnight-after-serious-crash-495768\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">section of road near Bonane<\/a> between Kenmare and Glengarriff closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, but it has since reopened.<\/p>\n<p>The man&#8217;s body was removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital following the collision where a post mortem examination is due to take place.<\/p>\n<p>Road users who were travelling on the N71 between Glengarriff and Kenmare at Caha Pass, Co.
