\n\tIt\u2019s time to clock back in for \u201cThe Pitt<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHBO has released the first trailer for Season 3 of the medical drama, which will premiere in January 2027. It follows the first day back on the job for Noah Wyle<\/a>\u2018s Dr. Robby, after he went on a three-month sabbatical at the end of Season 2.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI knew my first day back was gonna be\u2026hard dealing with what we go through here. And I knew that it could get a little bit crazy,\u201d Wyle says in dramatic voiceover. \u201cBut it\u2019s time to get back to it.\u201d The trailer has shots of medical staff treating screaming and severely injured patients, performing chest compressions and Robby consoling a grieving family member who received some tragic news. There\u2019s also a shot of a man slamming his head against one of the hospital doors with a bloodied nose and another patient wrestling against the restraints that have him strapped down to a gurney. Just another day at the Pitt!<\/p>\n

\n\tThe cast includes Wyle (Dr. Michael \u201cRobby\u201d Robinavitch), Patrick Ball (Dr. Langdon), Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Dr. Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), Ayesha Harris (Dr. Ellis), Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi) and Shawn Hatosy (Dr. Abbot). <\/p>\n

\n\tSeason 2, which premiered last January, racked up 25 Emmy nominations, including outstanding drama series; Wyle for lead actor; Ball, Hatosy and Howell for supporting actor; Dearden, Dourif, LaNasa and Moafi for supporting actress; and many more.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the HBO Max Emmy Nominee Celebration on Sunday in Los Angeles, Wyle teased what\u2019s to come on Season 3. \u201cPretty gross,\u201d he told Variety. \u201cOur special effects department and makeup department outdo themselves week in and week out. The level of the sophistication of their artistry continues to amaze me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt gets gross,\u201d LaNasa said. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely gross. It\u2019s always gross. It\u2019s always heartbreaking and it\u2019s always funny.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAdded Ball, \u201cWe are about to start shooting Episode 6 of Season 3 and I think it might be some of the best writing yet. The whole team is really in a flow right now. I think we have bright days ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHatosy also talked about the latest crop of guest stars. \u201cThe way we role, every day we have a safety meeting, everybody shows up, we talk about the day\u2019s work. It sort of makes you feel like you\u2019re part of the family. You never know what\u2019s going to happen once we start rolling. It is kind of a scary style of shooting. The camera is moving. We run the scenes together often. It\u2019s a continuous take. It can be a little bit intimidating.\u201d<\/p>\n
