So I’ve compiled a TV guide on what to watch tonight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n I’ve gone through everything from <\/strong>Netflix<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>Prime Video<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>HBO Max<\/strong><\/a>, etc<\/strong>. I’ve scoured the <\/strong>best free streaming services<\/strong><\/a> like Tubi<\/strong>. I’ve even added some movies you might have <\/strong>missed in theaters<\/strong><\/a> that are finally available to buy or rent to stream at home.<\/p>\n So let’s dive into it. Here are all the new movies and shows (and live events) you can stream tonight (August 21)<\/strong>, and where to watch them. For more picks, check out these three newly added Paramount+ movies to watch this weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n Top shows and movies to stream tonight’Mother Mary’ (2026) (HBO Max)<\/p>\n Genre: <\/strong>Psychological drama movie<\/p>\n What’s it about? <\/strong>One of several movies starring Anne Hathaway this year, “Mother Mary” features her as a world-famous pop star. One fateful night, she visits an old friend (and seemingly old flame), Sam (Michaela Cole), to design a new dress for an upcoming show. As they work on the dress, they dive deeper into their troubled past until things take a supernatural turn.<\/p>\n Why you should watch it: <\/strong>I praised the movie in my review of “Mother Mary<\/a>” for its excellent soundtrack and production values. This movie is part “Black Swan,” part “The Eras Tour.” Ironically, found the thriller elements of this thriller to be lacking. But as a concert film, it’s incredible, and Anne Hathaway puts on an underrated, highly physical performance.<\/p>\n Watch “Mother Mary” on HBO Max<\/a> now<\/p>\n ‘Silo’ season 3 (Apple TV)<\/p>\n Genre:<\/strong> Sci-fi dystopian drama series<\/p>\n What it’s about:<\/strong> “Silo” is back, and season 3 is in full swing. This latest season opens with Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) alive but suffering from amnesia. She’s also been made Mayor, which is a problem for a lot of reasons, including the amnesia. This season, we’re also in the past, and we’re finally seeing the events that sent humanity underground into the silos decades ago.<\/p>\n Why you should watch it: <\/strong>The first two seasons of “Silo” have been great, which meant expectations were high for the season 3 premiere. Thankfully, our Managing Streaming Editor, Kelly Woo, praised the show in her “Silo” season 3 premiere review<\/a>, giving it a 4.5 out of five stars.<\/p>\n Watch episode 8 of “Silo” season 3 on Apple TV<\/a> now<\/p>\n ‘Good Fortune’ (2025) (Prime Video)<\/p>\n Genre:<\/strong> Reality fashion competition series<\/p>\n What’s it about?<\/strong> “Good Fortune” stars Keanu Reeves as Gabriel. He’s a low-ranking guardian angel and tries to show Arj (Aziz Ansari) that money isn’t everything by swapping Arj’s life with the life of his boss, Jeff (Seth Rogen). It backfires. Gabriel first loses his wings, then his job. Now, he and Jeff are left looking for work, while Arj searches for the meaning of life.<\/p>\n Why you should watch it: <\/strong>The reviews of “Good Fortune<\/a>” were mostly positive, and audiences shared that sentiment, at least according to Rotten Tomatoes. Now that it’s on Prime Video, there’s no reason not to check it out.<\/p>\n
