Dry Cleaning<\/a>\u00a0brought out\u00a0Wilco<\/a>\u2018s\u00a0Jeff Tweedy<\/a>\u00a0as a surprise guest during their set at\u00a0Green Man<\/a> this weekend.<\/p>\n

The South London post-punk band played on the Welsh\u00a0festival\u2019s\u00a0Mountain Stage yesterday (August 21), and they were joined by Tweedy on guitar for a version of \u2018My Soul\/Half Pint\u2019.<\/p>\n

Tweedy played on the studio version of the track, which was released as part of Dry Cleaning\u2019s third album \u2018Secret Love<\/a>\u2018 at the start of the year, parts of which were also recorded at Wilco\u2019s Chicago studio The Loft.<\/p>\n

The Green Man collaboration marked the first time they have performed the track together live and it came just hours before Wilco topped the line-up on the Mountain Stage to headline the festival.<\/p>\n

Wilco\u2019s headline set was their first time topping the bill at the Brecon Beacons festival since 2009, and it came the night after the Chicago band also played London\u2019s Eventim Apollo. Their UK and European tour\u00a0continues<\/a>\u00a0in Glasgow tonight (August 22) \u2013\u00a0see\u00a0all the dates and ticket information\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They have also\u00a0announced three shows in Marrakech for March next year<\/a>, which will be their first ever gigs in Africa.<\/p>\n

Green Man continues tonight with Four Tet headlining<\/a>\u00a0and sets from\u00a0The Beta Band<\/a>,\u00a0Cate Le\u00a0Bon<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Nation\u00a0Of\u00a0Language<\/a>.\u00a0Wolf Alice<\/a>\u00a0will close the festival tomorrow night (August 23).<\/p>\n

As for Dry Cleaning,\u00a0NME\u00a0gave \u2018Secret Love\u2019 a four-star review in January<\/a>, noting: \u201cBy continuing to flip the script on what could have been one of the more one-note acts of the decade (on paper, at least), Dry Cleaning have simultaneously surprised and impressed in their artistic evolution.
