\n\t\u201cInsidious: Out of the Further<\/a>\u201d leapfrogged \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a>\u201d and took the No. 1 spot at the domestic box office on Friday, but Marvel\u2019s webslinger is still poised to win the weekend.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOut of the Further,\u201d the sixth installment in the \u201cInsidious\u201d franchise, grossed $10.6 million on Friday from 3,303 North American theaters. By Sunday, the supernatural horror romp is expected to pull in $23.7 million for Blumhouse and Sony.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe latest \u201cInsidious\u201d is coming in below its predecessor, 2023\u2019s \u201cThe Red Door,\u201d which opened to $33 million. \u201cOut of the Further\u201d cost only $18 million to produce, and the horror genre remains one of the most consistent box office draws, so it should have no problem turning a profit despite the dip.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOut of the Further,\u201d from director Jacob Chase, follows a young mother who discovers she can travel into a dimension called the Further and bring the demons who live there back into the real world. Cast members include Lin Shaye, Amelia Eve, Island Austin, Sam Spruell, Joseph Lopez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Brandon Perea.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis weekend\u2019s other major newcomer, \u201cMutiny,\u201d landed in fourth place on Friday after earning $2.8 million from 2,703 screens. The Jason Statham vehicle is targeting a $7.4 million opening, which is below similar titles like 2024\u2019s \u201cThe Beekeeper\u201d ($16.5 million) and 2025\u2019s \u201cA Working Man\u201d ($15 million), but above \u201cShelter\u201d ($5.2 million), which released earlier in 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tStatham leads \u201cMutiny\u201d as Cole Reed, a grizzled special-ops agent who must stop an international conspiracy aboard a cargo ship. Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Richet directs. Other cast members include Chaneil Kular, Annabelle Wallis, Ramon Tikaram, Jason Wong and Simon Kluth.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d settled for second on Friday after making $9.8 million, but it\u2019s eyeing a first-place finish through the weekend with $36.5 million. That\u2019s a roughly 47% decline from last weekend\u2019s revenues. The Marvel-Sony tent-pole should hit a domestic total of about $852 million by Sunday.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Odyssey\u201d finished third on Friday with $5 million domestically, and it looks to add $18 million through the end of its sixth weekend. That would push the North American haul for Chris Nolan\u2019s epic to $538 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tFinally, in fifth place was \u201cThe End of Oak Street,\u201d which earned an estimated $2.2 million domestically on Friday.
