The White House has branded comedian Rosie O\u2019Donnell a \u201ctotal slob\u201d after she joked on late night television that Natalie Harp<\/a>, Donald Trump\u2019s devoted executive assistant, tucks the president into bed at night. <\/p>\n

O\u2019Donnell\u2019s quip, made Wednesday night during her stint as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live!,<\/a> comes as Trump\u2019s 35-year-old aide has been at the center of intense media and public scrutiny over her unusually close relationship with and proximity to the president. <\/a>The comedian opened the episode wishing viewers <\/a>\u201ca special hello to those of you watching from home and from the White House.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I do have some bad news for President Petty Roosevelt,\u201d she continued. \u201cThat\u2019s all I\u2019m going to say about you tonight, sweetheart. You got to realize it\u2019s time to hang up your wig and let Natalie tuck you in,\u201d O\u2019Donnell said, drawing audible gasps from the audience. <\/p>\n

In response, the White House unleashed an insult-laden statement on O\u2019Donnell, who has been feuding with Trump for 20 years.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cRosie O\u2019Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome,\u201d White House spokesman Davis Ingle told PEOPLE.<\/a><\/p>\n

O\u2019Donnell has been trolling the president all week during her stint on Kimmel\u2019s show. She opened Monday night\u2019s show by referring to Trump as \u201cMango Mussolini.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I\u2019ve been living in Ireland for the past two years because of Mango Mussolini,\u201d she joked. \u201cI read that Project 2025 and said, got to get myself out of here, you know? And I decided to go to Ireland, a place where people are driven to drink regardless of who\u2019s running their country.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you thought the president hated Jimmy Kimmel Live! when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, buckle up, people. Buckle up!\u201d she also quipped.<\/p>\n

Signing off in what was her final night guest hosting Thursday evening, O\u2019Donnell thanked \u201ceveryone who\u2019s been watching this week, especially the hungry, hungry hypocrite in the White House.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also performed<\/a> a rendition of the Irish ballad Danny Boy, dedicated to the president. \u201cPoor Donny boy your polls, your polls are falling. Your reflecting pool is green as Mountain Dew,\u201d she sang to the tune of the original song. \u201cYour wig\u2019s a mess, your ballroom is appalling, and with Iran you\u2019ve bit off more than you can chew.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump has not responded to the comedian\u2019s latest jabs on Truth Social. <\/p>\n

He posted an AI-generated meme of O\u2019Donnell in June where he said she was \u201cobsessed\u201d with him, and another where an AI-generated Trump diagnosed her with \u201cTrump Derangement Syndrome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump ally and Fox News personality Jesse Watters said that he thought the show only booked O\u2019Donnell to provoke the president.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they just book her to tweak Trump and they\u2019re waiting for Trump to tweet about it and you know what, he hasn\u2019t,\u201d Watters said on The Five.<\/a> \u201cAnd it\u2019s driving them nuts, because they want a feud.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Donnell\u2019s hosting stint comes amid Trump\u2019s repeated calls for networks to take action against late night hosts who criticize him. The 64-year-old\u2019s guest slot on Kimmel\u2019s show has proved a hit with late-night viewers, with her first night as guest host drawing an audience of 1.87 million.<\/p>\n

Her bitter feud with Trump <\/a>stretches to 2006, when she was a host on The View. It reached new heights during Trump\u2019s 2015 presidential campaign, when moderator Megyn Kelly challenged him during a Republican debate about derogatory comments he had made about women. Trump famously replied: \u201cOnly Rosie O\u2019Donnell.\u201d<\/p>\n
