\n Daphne Caine thanks parents and diabetic charity for ‘ongoing support’\n <\/p>\n

The education minister says a ‘communication blip’ was to blame for the lack of\u00a0nutritional values being provided with\u00a0new primary school dinner menus.<\/p>\n

Concerns were raised\u00a0earlier this week<\/a>\u00a0by the parents of diabetic children, who need the information to\u00a0administer the right amount of insulin.<\/p>\n

Daphne Caine has been giving evidence to the Island’s Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, alongside her department’s chief officer.<\/p>\n

She says the initial lack of a\u00a0breakdown was ‘unfortunate’ and has apologised to parents:<\/p>\n
