href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/ajude-a-dar-uma-despedida-digna-para-a-jady-no-brasil\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FUNDRAISER<\/a> HAS been created to help pay for funeral costs for a Brazilian woman murdered on Friday at her apartment in Co Limerick.<\/p>\n<p>Jady Cristine Pereira Rosa, from Sorocaba, S\u00e3o Paulo, was found inside her apartment at Carlton House on Cecil Street.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejournal.ie\/limerick-body-7137943-Aug2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">A murder investigation was launched on Saturday<\/a>, with garda\u00ed understood to be looking to question a male in connection with the killing.<\/p>\n<p>A post-mortem performed by the State Pathologist confirmed that Rosa died a violent death, and while garda\u00ed are not releasing the results for \u201coperational reasons\u201d, it is understood that she was stabbed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/ajude-a-dar-uma-despedida-digna-para-a-jady-no-brasil\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fundraiser<\/a>, which has so far raised nearly \u20ac5,500, will cover the costs of her funeral, wake, and burial, as well as transporting her from the airport in Brazil to her hometown.<\/p>\n<p>Rosa\u2019s employer is said to be covering the cost of transporting her body from Ireland to Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>A description on the GoFundMe page says: \u201cToday we come together for a reason no one should ever have to face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur dear Jady, a Brazilian who was living in Limerick, Ireland, had her life tragically taken.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this moment of immense grief, we want to help her family give her the dignified farewell she deserves in her home country, surrounded by the people who love her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you are unable to donate, we kindly ask that you share this fundraiser so it can reach more people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny contribution, no matter the amount, will make a difference and will be a meaningful gesture of kindness and solidarity with her family during this incredibly difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed said on Saturday that a family liaison officer has been assigned to support her family, and a senior investigating officer has been appointed to lead the murder investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with any
