A reception is planned for 5 p.m. Aug. 27, with remarks at 5:30.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\u201cI\u2019m not a lifetime artist,\u201d\u00a0Brinegar\u00a0said. \u201cIt\u2019s what I\u2019ve done since retiring. It\u2019s not been just one thing (medium). It\u2019s been exploring, trying, therapy, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Brinegar\u00a0has worked in various media since taking up art about 15 years ago, from photography to oil painting. He retired from serving as principal of USD 305\u2019s Special Education Center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">His work leans toward the abstract, he said, and his watercolors draw inspiration from aerial photography of the rural landscape.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Admission to the Gallery is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-155782\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/brinegar-show-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\"  \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Cary\u00a0Brinegar\u00a0had not planned to be an artist, but that\u2019s the direction his journey is taking him.
