{"id":65336,"date":"2025-09-15T11:30:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T11:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/65336\/"},"modified":"2025-09-15T11:30:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T11:30:09","slug":"watch-koenigsegg-bugatti-rimac-and-singer-bosses-hoon-each-others-hypercars-at-the-top-gear-track","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/65336\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch Koenigsegg, Bugatti-Rimac and Singer Bosses Hoon Each Others&#8217; Hypercars at the Top Gear Track"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The good folks at Top Gear have pulled off quite the coup: They got Christian von Koenigsegg, Mate Rimac, and Singer\u2019s Rob Dickinson together for an incredible track day.<\/p>\n<p>There have been some impressive cars driven at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0BcblGaHgCQ&amp;t=28s\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Top Gear <\/a>circuit at Dunsfold in Surrey over the years, but this is probably the most mighty gathering ever, not least because behind the wheel is each company\u2019s boss.<\/p>\n<p>Rimac, who heads both his eponymous electric hypercar firm and Bugatti, brings a Nevera R fresh from setting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hagerty.com\/media\/news\/rimac-nevera-r-speed-records\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a series of world records<\/a>, along with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hagerty.com\/media\/news\/speculator-seeks-to-double-their-money-on-rare-bugatti-w16-mistral\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mistral<\/a>, which is the last of the V16 Bugattis. von Koenigsegg turns up with a CC850, and Dickinson arrives with a Porsche 911 Reimagined by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hagerty.com\/media\/tags\/singer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Singer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Each takes their turn to drive their opposite numbers\u2019 automobiles, and they certainly don\u2019t hold back.<\/p>\n<p>As much as we learn about the CC850\u2019s incredible engine and transmission, the Nevera R\u2019s ingenious torque vectoring, the Mistral\u2019s four turbochargers, and the Singer\u2019s lightweight construction, it\u2019s the enthusiasm of the CEOs that is the biggest takeaway from Top Gear\u2018s video.<\/p>\n<p>von Koenigsegg describes the noise of the Mistral as \u201clike having an argument with a dragon,\u201d Rimac reckons the Singer\u2019s gearbox is the best he\u2019s experienced, and Dickinson seems to be blown away by the technology in the complex hypercars.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also clear that all three of them can drive. Especially Mate Rimac, who slides the Singer and then showboats the drift mode of the Nevera R. \u201cI need a moment,\u201d says Dickinson, understandably, after a sideways lap with the Croatian car boss.<\/p>\n<p>No more spoilers, though.
