CD Projekt Red has been working on its next mainline Witcher title <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/3\/21\/22989313\/cd-projekt-red-new-witcher-game-unreal-engine-5-announcement\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">for years<\/a> and has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/12\/12\/24320092\/the-witcher-4-trailer-game-awards-2024\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">shown<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/games\/678895\/the-witcher-4-ue5-tech-demo-ps5-interview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">videos<\/a> of it, but now the studio is providing a target release window for when the game might actually come out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">There\u2019s more new Witcher to come before The Witcher 4, though. At this week\u2019s Gamescom event, CD Projekt Red will be showing off its upcoming Witcher 3 expansion, Songs of the Past, which is scheduled to release <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/entertainment\/937970\/the-witcher-3-songs-of-the-past-expansion\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sometime in 2027<\/a>. Songs of the Past is also set to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/geoffkeighley\/status\/2091507994966053147\" rel=\"nofollow\">be part of<\/a> Gamescom\u2019s Opening Night Live event hosted by Geoff Keighley, which kicks off at 2PM ET on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">CD Projekt Red is also working on a multiplayer spinoff set in the universe of The Witcher that\u2019s codenamed Project Siris.
