Jake Quickenden announced the end of his marriage to Sophie Church earlier this summer, and now the businesswoman has had her say in a heartbreaking social media confession<\/p>\n

Jake Quickenden’s ex Sophie Church spent their final holiday as a family in tears weeks before the pair announced their split.<\/a><\/p>\n

Singer, presenter and actor Jake, 37, revealed earlier this summer that he and Sophie had called it a day after four years together<\/a>. The former X Factor<\/a> star and the businesswoman had first started dating in June 2018, before they tied-the-knot in front of friends and family in September 2022.<\/p>\n

The pair share three sons together, with Jake<\/a> being stepfather to Sophie’s teenage son, Freddie, who she welcomed in a previous relationship. The former couple are also proud parents to five-year-old Leo and one-year-old Kit. He says there is “no malice” between them and that he was focused on “moving forward”.<\/p>\n

But in a series of snaps, Sophie let her followers in as she pointed out that social media often hides pain. She captioned the collection: \u201cJust remember behind every social media page is a person riding their own wave.”<\/p>\n

She spoke about the last few months and her tears while they were away (Image: sophie__church\/Instagram)<\/p>\n

Revealing the pain of their final family trip together, she wrote: \u201cOn the last family trip abroad I was in the worst headspace & cried 80% of the trip.\u201d<\/p>\n

There were plenty of kind comments, with one person telling Sophie: \u201cWe\u2019re all in the trenches with you, don\u2019t care what people put on socials, life can be tough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another told her: \u201cAww bless you, you\u2019re doing a fantastic job to your three beautiful boys \u2026onwards and upwards it will get easier.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a social media post in June, Jake explained that he and Sophie had split on an earlier date. Sharing a photo of them together with their children, he wrote: “Me and Sophie have unfortunately separated it\u2019s been a few months now, tried to keep it private for us to come to terms with it and navigate it properly, while it also involves our beautiful children.”<\/p>\n

He then went on to praise his estranged wife, writing: “Sophie is an amazing person and mother and we shared some very special moments together that I will always cherish, we have beautiful children together and they will always come first, I have respect and love for her and I want her to succeed in everything she does, I will always have her back.”<\/p>\n

He went on to share that he and Sophie had grown apart and decided they would be happier if they broke up. He added: “Many times in breakups people expect a huge reason, this isn\u2019t like that it\u2019s two people growing apart and realising that happiness rests its head somewhere else.”<\/p>\n

It comes after Katie Price<\/a> publicly flirted with him during some onstage banter at the Hair and Beauty Awards earlier this month.<\/p>\n

A source told The Mirror<\/a>: “Katie was flirting a lot with Jake and jokingly propositioning him. There was a lot of back and forth, and there\u2019s a certain rapport between them. They had a hug when he came off stage and had a giggle together.”<\/p>\n
