Sony’s current “Pay-1” licensing deal with Netflix, which first arrived back in 2022, means that the streaming giant automatically becomes the home of Sony Pictures releases after their theatrical and PVOD (Premium Video on Demand)\u00a0release windows have officially ended.<\/p>\n
Per data acquired by\u00a0What’s on Netflix<\/a> regarding the ongoing deal,\u00a0the premiere-Netflix release window should be approximately 120 days, on average. Should the current theatrical release premiere of June 18, 2027, go ahead without further delay, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will make its Netflix debut on\u00a0Saturday,<\/strong>\u00a0October 17, 2027<\/strong>, in good timing for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, where streaming and general home viewing skyrockets.<\/p>\n However, as What’s on Netflix makes clear in its detailing of the deal, this can be pushed back if a Sony blockbuster’s theatrical or PVOD release proves successful.
