Sharma has already joined the company. The company is also set to appoint Yugal Tiwari, former Senior VP, Product at Paytm, as Chief Product Officer. Tiwari is expected to join BharatPe soon.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Sharma spent over eight years at Paytm across engineering roles. He joined Kotak Mahindra Bank as SVP, Engineering in May 2023 and returned to Paytm as AVP, Engineering in January 2025.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tiwari previously worked at Paytm and Paytm Payments Bank, where he held several product leadership roles. He joined CRED in April 2022 and returned to Paytm in May 2024.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cBoth executives will be part of BharatPe\u2019s senior leadership team, with Sharma having already joined the company and Tiwari expected to join soon,\u201d a source said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tiwari\u2019s appointment comes after BharatPe\u2019s CPO position remained vacant following the departure of <a href=\"https:\/\/entrackr.com\/exclusive\/exclusive-bharatpes-cpo-rohan-khara-steps-down-11902491\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rohan Khara<\/a> in June this year. Khara had been responsible for leading the company\u2019s product function and had also overseen marketing initiatives.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Entrackr recently<a href=\"https:\/\/entrackr.com\/exclusive\/exclusive-jiviai-shuts-down-founder-ankur-jain-may-rejoin-bharatpe-12108207\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> reported<\/a> that Ankur Jain, former BharatPe CPO and founder of now-shut Jivi.ai, was also in talks to rejoin BharatPe as CPO. However, according to sources, the discussions did not materialise.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The appointments add to BharatPe\u2019s recent senior-level hiring from Paytm. In October 2025, the fintech firm appointed <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/tech\/technology\/bharatpe-names-ex-paytm-exec-ajit-kumar-as-cto\/articleshow\/124762380.cms?from=mdr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ajit Kumar<\/a>, former Senior Vice President, Engineering at Paytm, as its Chief Technology Officer.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Paytm declined to comment on the story. Entrackr has contacted BharatPe and Kamal Sharma for comments, while Yugal Tiwari could not be reached for comment.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The company has also strengthened its leadership team in recent months. In March 2026, BharatPe appointed Himanshu Verma as Head of its POS business. The Delhi-based fintech is targeting a potential IPO by the end of FY27 or mid-FY28.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Backed by Coatue Management and other investors, BharatPe serves more than 10 million merchants through its payments and financial services platform. The company reported a profit of Rs 6 crore on operating revenue of <a href=\"https:\/\/entrackr.com\/fintrackr\/bharatpe-turns-ebitda-profitable-in-fy25-revenue-touches-rs-1667-cr-10501335\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rs 1,800 crore in FY25<\/a>.
