Longines has been redesigning its Master Collection lately, and now they\u2019re closing out a two-phase overhaul with a pair of new chronographs. <\/p>\n

The first wave landed back in June: 20 new references across four case sizes \u2014 30mm, 34mm, 39mm, and 41mm \u2014 all built around reworked cases, dials, and bracelets, while keeping the Arabic numeral styling the collection has carried since it launched in 2005.<\/p>\n

Now the collection\u2019s more complicated pieces are getting the same treatment. The redesigned Chrono Moonphase moves to a 41mm case, splitting the difference between the outgoing model\u2019s 40mm and 42mm options. It runs on Longines<\/a>\u2018 L687.5 automatic column-wheel movement, keeps its moonphase and full calendar functions, and comes on either an alligator strap or steel bracelet.<\/p>\n

The real news is the Chrono Monopusher, the first time that complication has shown up anywhere in the Master Collection.<\/p>\n

Instead of separate buttons for start, stop, and reset, all three functions run through a single pusher built into the crown \u2014 a design you\u2019ll find across some of the best chronograph watches<\/a> on the market, just rarely executed this way.<\/p>\n

The 41mm steel case houses Longines\u2019 manually wound L799.5 column-wheel movement, which runs for 68 hours on a full wind. It also pairs a silver or frosted blue dial with a pulsometer scale around the edge, and ships on an alligator strap.<\/p>\n

Monopusher chronographs used to be the standard, not the exception. Before separate start\/stop\/reset buttons became common, a single pusher did all the work, and Longines has actual history here: the brand built one of the first wrist-worn monopushers back in 1911, then followed it up in 1913 with a movement widely credited as the first compact chronograph caliber made specifically for wristwatches (as opposed to an adaption from a pocket watch).<\/p>\n

It also caps off a genuinely busy year for the brand. The HydroConquest relaunch earlier this year turned into one of the more talked-about releases of 2026, and Swatch Group, Longines\u2019 parent company, has been posting solid results as a whole. A full top-to-bottom redesign of its best-known collection, ending on a watch this specific and this historically grounded, is a confident way to close it out.<\/p>\n

Both new chronographs are available now through Longines\u2019 official site and authorized retailers. The Chrono Moonphase starts at $4,250, and the Chrono Monopusher starts at $3,900.
