Cable-maker NKT shares jump 6% on raised outlook amid wind energy boom<\/p>\n

Shares of cable maker NKT rose by more than 6% \u2014 the most among Stoxx Europe 600 index<\/a> stocks \u2014 after the company raised its outlook amid growth in the renewable energy sector.<\/p>\n The Danish company, which makes and installs the cables to connect offshore wind turbines, lifted its revenue expectations for the full year by about to a range between 2.65 billion euros ($.3.1 billion) and 2.75 billion euros, from a 2.37-billion-euro to 2.52 billion-euro forecast, prior.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, the company had said its order backlog for high-voltage cables stood at more supplier<\/p>\n Switzerland-headquartered industrial giant ABB<\/a> has signed a multi-year agreement with U.S.-based Noveon Magnetics for the supply of rare earth magnets.<\/p>\n Under the multi-million-dollar deal, Noveon will begin supplying sintered rare earth magnets in August for use in ABB’s industrial motor applications in North America.<\/p>\n “Capacity for the deal is secured, underscoring ABB’s confidence in Noveon’s long-term capabilities and product quality,” said the Zurich-based company on Thursday.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Noveon also signed an agreement with automaker General Motors<\/a> to supply magnets for use in trucks and full-size SUVs.<\/p>\n The company says it is the only manufacturer of rare earth magnets in the U.S.<\/p>\n Rare earths have foreign exchange, tariffs and commodity prices” in the second quarter, which would continue to weigh on its bottom line.<\/p>\n Pandora’s jewelry is manufactured at two factories in Thailand, which has been hit with 19% “reciprocal” tariffs<\/a> by the U.S. \u2014 Pandora’s biggest market. <\/p>\n The firm said it expected to take a direct financial hit from U.S. tariffs this year of 200 million
