For sister Karisma Kapoor<\/a>, the signs were visible when they were still children. She recently looked back at those early memories and recalled how Kareena’s fascination with dance and performance made her future seem almost inevitable.Karisma spoke about her younger sister while filming an upcoming episode of the fifth season of \u2018India\u2019s Best Dancer\u2019, where she is part of the judging panel.<\/p>\n

Childhood moments that revealed Kareena Akpoor’s ambition<\/p>\n

Speaking to Mid-Day, Karisma remembered how Kareena would spend time around her whenever she was practising dance. Rather than being a distant observer, Kareena appeared genuinely drawn to the world of performance. \u201cIt was always clear that she would become an actress and a big star. She had been dancing since childhood. I used to learn dance as well; she would come, sit and watch me. So, that passion was always there,\u201d Karisma shared. Years later, that childhood fascination would take Kareena to the big screen when she made her debut with JP Dutta’s \u2018Refugee\u2019 in 2000.<\/p>\n

A close-up that stayed with Karisma Kapoor<\/p>\n

Karisma was also present on the sets of \u2018Refugee\u2019 and recalled watching Kareena film her first close-up. What she saw through the camera immediately convinced her that her sister possessed something special. \u201cWe went there while the shoot was underway. Kareena\u2019s first close-up was when she lifted her burqa, and you could just see that she was going to be a superstar. The way her eyes express emotions is [unmatched].\u201d For Karisma, it was not simply the significance of Kareena’s first close-up. Her sister’s expressive eyes and ability to convey emotion made the moment particularly memorable.<\/p>\n

Kareena eventually carved out a career independent of her family’s legacy, taking on diverse characters and becoming a prominent name in Hindi cinema.
