US president <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/donald-trump\/\">Donald \u200bTrump<\/a> has described Ratcliffe\u2019s visit \u2013 which \u200ccame as the \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/ukraine-crisis\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/ukraine-crisis\/\">war in Ukraine<\/a> drags on and \u2060as efforts \u2060to reach \u200ba lasting peace between the United States and Iran have stalled \u2013 as \u201csemi-routine\u201d. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">At least two \u200cUS media \u2060outlets have cited their own sources as saying Ratcliffe warned \u200cRussia not to attack any Nato \u200bmember state. Neither Washington nor \u200bMoscow has confirmed that. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Asked \u200cto \u200ccomment \u200bon the reports on Thursday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: \u201cA lot \u2060of \u200bthis kind of \u200bscare-story material is being published \u200cright now.
