\n\tEXCLUSIVE:<\/strong>\u00a0Samara Weaving<\/a> (Ready or Not\u00a0franchise) and Nicholas Braun<\/a> (Succession) are set to lead\u00a0Hivemind<\/a>, an environmental thriller from Thunder Road<\/a> and Badlands<\/a> that is now filming in Dublin.<\/p>\n

\n\tDirected by Irish filmmaker Ciar\u00e1n Foy<\/a>,\u00a0Hivemind\u00a0centers on the evolution of a new breed of killer wasps and the small-town authorities who team up to prevent a deadly global outbreak, as we reported<\/a> when Badlands snapped up the spec by Peter Gaffney (Yeti,\u00a0Don\u2019t Go in the Water) last year.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to the leads and director Foy, Amazon MGM Studios has boarded\u00a0Hivemind, with plans to stream the film internationally on Prime Video.<\/p>\n

\n\tBasil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Diarmaid McGrath are producing for Thunder Road alongside Scott Strauss for Badlands, Macdara Kelleher and John Keville for Wild Atlantic Pictures, Adam Rodin and Gaffney. The project is backed by Renegade Capital, with Jon Shiffman and Andrew Schwartzberg serving as executive producers. CAA Media Finance and Verve are handling domestic sales.<\/p>\n

\n\tHaving a major year, with her casting as Emma Frost in Marvel\u2019s upcoming\u00a0X-Men\u00a0movie, Weaving recently reprised in Searchlight\u2019s horror-comedy\u00a0Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. She\u2019s also been seen this year in IFC\u2019s\u00a0Over Your Dead Body\u00a0from Jorma Taccone, which won the Audience Award at SXSW, as well as Magnolia\u2019s romantic crime thriller\u00a0Carolina Caroline\u00a0from Adam Carter Rehmeier. She is repped by CAA, Todd Diener at 111 Media, and PJ Shapiro at Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.<\/p>\n

\n\tKnown for playing Cousin Greg in HBO\u2019s\u00a0Succession, for which he earned three Emmy nominations, Braun is coming off a role in Amazon MGM\u2019s comedy\u00a0The Sheep Detectives, which grossed over $132M worldwide. Upcoming, he will be seen in\u00a0The Entertainment System Is Down\u00a0from multiple Palme d\u2019Or winner Ruben \u00d6stlund. He is repped by UTA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and James Mandelbaum and Kimberly Jaime at Jackoway Austen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFoy\u2019s debut feature, the psychological horror film\u00a0Citadel, premiered at SXSW, where it won the festival\u2019s Midnighter Audience Award. Since then, he\u2019s directed Blumhouse\u2019s\u00a0Sinister 2\u00a0and the Netflix\/Intrepid Pictures horror film\u00a0Eli, along with episodes of Netflix\u2019s\u00a0The Haunting of Bly Manor\u00a0and\u00a0Sweet Tooth. He is repped by Verve, Independent Talent Group in the UK, and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.<\/p>\n
