Joe Amabile<\/strong><\/a> is sharing more details of his brain cancer journey.<\/p>\n

Appearing on Good Morning America<\/a> on Friday, August 28, the Bachelor in Paradise alum, 40, described experiencing \u201cstruggles\u201d with his speech after undergoing surgery to remove a \u201cblueberry size lesion\u201d on his brain.<\/p>\n

Joe explained that doctors found the lesion in the area of his brain that\u2019s responsible for \u201cspeech, motor skills and memory.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cAccording to my doctors, I probably wouldn\u2019t know about this [lesion] until I eventually had a seizure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJoe Amabile is recovering after undergoing brain surgery. \u201cThey got it all!\u201d Joe, 40, jubilantly wrote via Instagram on Thursday, August, 6, alongside several post-op photos. In one snap, the Bachelor in Paradise alum flashed a peace sign to the camera. Amabile\u2019s wife, Serena Pitt, held his hand in a follow-up image shared to her [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Joe underwent brain surgery<\/a> earlier this month and doctors warned him that he may face difficulties with his speech post-surgery, which he confirmed was the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would think of what to say but I would have a hard time vocalizing it,\u201d Joe explained. \u201cAnd I would say I\u2019m about 90 per cent back but I still struggle a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The GMA segment also reported that Joe was currently taking daily medication following the surgery, which his doctor noted had limited side effects.<\/p>\n

The Bachelorette alum announced via Instagram on July 13, that doctors found \u201ca blueberry size lesion\u201d<\/a> on his brain which appeared to be a tumor during an MRI scan. Joe revealed at the time that he planned to undergo surgery within the next two weeks to \u201cget it removed and get it tested.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe went on to describe the experience as \u201ca wild couple weeks\u201d since he was told the news.<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely wasn\u2019t expecting this,\u201d he continued. \u201cI think it\u2019s one of those things where you\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, something like this will never happen to me.\u2019 And here I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe added, \u201cThis past month has been a lot of ups and downs to say the least. After multiple scans and MRIs I have what looks to be an early stage brain tumor. In two weeks I\u2019ll be undergoing a craniotomy to have it removed \u2014 yeah brain surgery. I\u2019m doing my best to stay positive during this time and am lucky to have a lot of support from family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Joe announced that the brain surgery to remove the tumor was a success.<\/p>\n
