EASTON, Pa. – For the past decade, Hank the Tank has had a front-row seat to life inside an Easton art gallery. Now, the beloved cat is the subject of the art exhibit.<\/p>\n
Nearly every piece of artwork in the gallery\u2019s latest display has one thing in common: Hank.<\/p>\n
Connexions Gallery owner Anthony Marraccini hosted a \u201cWhole Lotta Hank\u201d demonstration Saturday, giving visitors a chance to celebrate the cat who has become a familiar face in the community.<\/p>\n
Hank can often be found sitting in his orange chair near the front of the gallery.<\/p>\n
Hank is not the first feline to call the gallery home. Before him came Fredo, and Marraccini said the idea of having a gallery cat has long been part of the space\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n
Visitors and cat enthusiasts from around the area contributed artwork for the exhibit.<\/p>\n
One artist knitted an image of Hank onto pillows, while another created photographs of the cat to display on the gallery walls.<\/p>\n
For those who have spent time with Hank, his easygoing personality makes him a natural muse.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is like one of the chillest cats on earth,\u201d one visitor said. \u201cEven just now, he\u2019s in the front room wearing a bow tie. He has no problem with it. He\u2019s totally happy with his little collar and bow tie.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cWhole Lotta Hank\u201d artwork will remain on display through Sept. 27.<\/p>\n
