Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> has a lot to be proud of. Her first annual Daisy Chain Fields<\/a>, a nonprofit festival whose proceeds go to ten women-focused charities, brought together an all-female lineup<\/a> that included Rodrigo\u2019s idols throughout her closing set. Her biggest inspiration for the fest came from Sarah McLachlan\u2019s Lilith Fair<\/a>, and Rodrigo gave her young fans a little history lesson. \u201cSarah created Lilith Fair at a time where people said that two women couldn\u2019t be headliners on the same festival bill and two women couldn\u2019t be played back to back on the same radio station. She created the first all-women festival and shattered everyone\u2019s expectations,\u201d she explained before bringing her up to the stage. \u201cThis is a full circle moment for me,\u201d McLachlan said. The two then played \u201cBuilding a Mystery\u201d with Rodrigo on guitar.<\/p>\n McLachlan continued playing tribute to inspirational women. The Lillith Fair founder tearfully dedicated \u201cAngel\u201d to the \u201cOG matriarch, beautiful goddess of country music\u201d Dolly Parton<\/a>, thanking her for being the \u201cbiggest philanthropist in country music.\u201d Maybe with Daisy Chain Fields, Rodrigo could become the biggest musical philanthropist of her generation. She\u2019s already got a head start \u2014 the Daisy Chain Fields Fund raised over $20 million with help from Melinda French Gates, who matched the festival\u2019s initial $10 million milestone.<\/p>\n About halfway through the set, Rodrigo shared bad news, then good news: Karen O unfortunately couldn\u2019t make it because of a personal matter, but Alanis Morissette<\/a> happened to be free. Morissette popped out from behind the stage to duet \u201cIronic,\u201d with most of the crowd joining in as they tried to lift their jaw off the floor.<\/p>\n Throughout the night, fans whispered, wondering when Nicks would show up, with some correctly guessing she\u2019d close out the show. Rodrigo and Nicks walked out hand in hand to sing the final song of the night, Fleetwood Mac\u2019s \u201cLandslide.\u201d They twirled throughout the song, mirroring the young women in the audience with their mothers. Rodrigo\u2019s stage presence reminded Nicks of her younger self. \u201cShe\u2019s a lot like me when I was her age, 100 years ago. I\u2019m somewhat awestruck that she could do all this because it\u2019s so hard\u2026 She\u2019s done it with grace and this crazy, crazy energy that she has,\u201d Nicks praised Rodrigo, getting one final word in before the night was over. \u201cSupport her and come and be a part of her women\u2019s rights thing. We all will, and she\u2019s very special.
