Cross-town rival Biren Technology surged 18.8 per cent to HK$46.62 in Hong Kong, while <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/tech\/big-tech\/article\/3341368\/iluvatar-corex-targets-nvidias-rubin-gpu-road-map-amid-china-chip-push?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Iluvatar Corex<\/a> dropped 2.2 per cent to HK$388.2 in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The stock moves followed reports of a pivotal half-year for domestic graphics processing unit (GPU) designers, who are beginning to reap financial rewards from Beijing\u2019s push for tech self-sufficiency and an aggressive national AI infrastructure buildout.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">MetaX, which made a high-profile debut on Shanghai\u2019s Star Market in December, posted a net profit of 612 million yuan (US$90.9 million) for the first six months, reversing a loss of 186 million yuan a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Biren Technology chairman and CEO Zhang Wen at the company\u2019s listing ceremony in Hong Kong, January 2, 2026.
