Space Marine Scouts are those neophytes who have advanced in their training far enough that they can take part in combat operations, before the installation of the Black Carapace allows them to interface with power armour. They are used as fast reconnaissance and sabotage troops able to advance far beyond the front lines, making them excellent candidates for kill teams and high-risk missions.<\/p>\n

September\u2019s Miniature of the Month also marks a big change in the monthly in-store offer. This month\u2019s collectible coin celebrates the launch of Destruction Battletome: Ogor Mawtribes<\/a> and the new wave of ogor miniatures<\/a>. The all-consuming force known as the Great Maw is central to the beliefs of most ogors and many paint crude sigils of a ravenous mouth ringed with fangs on their wargear. These dedications to the Maw are only available while stocks last, so make sure you ask your store manager how you can get yours.<\/p>\n Both the Scout and coin are available from 5 September \u2013 if you\u2019re heading into your local store to grab yours, bring a friend along and introduce them to your favourite hobby!\u00a0<\/p>\n They can pick their first miniature \u2013 Warhammer 40,000 enthusiasts can choose between a Space Marines Intercessor or an Ork Boy, while a Stormcast Eternals Liberator or a Skaven Clanrat await those who want to explore the Mortal Realms. They\u2019ll get a painting tutorial for their new model, and play an introductory game of Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar, all totally free of charge.<\/p>\n They can also join the recently revamped Battle Honours<\/a> programme, where they\u2019ll be able to do hands-on activities based around the key areas of the Warhammer hobby \u2013 Build, Paint and Play \u2013 from our expert staff.<\/p>\n Not sure where to find your local Warhammer store?
