{"id":666347,"date":"2026-09-01T05:09:23","date_gmt":"2026-09-01T05:09:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/666347\/"},"modified":"2026-09-01T05:09:23","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T05:09:23","slug":"olivia-rodrigo-reflects-on-daisy-chain-fields-in-emotional-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/666347\/","title":{"rendered":"Olivia Rodrigo Reflects on Daisy Chain Fields in Emotional Post"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/olivia-rodrigo\/\">Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> just accomplished one of her biggest dreams with the successful execution of her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival, and in an emotional <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DcsHtt1h6hv\/\">Instagram<\/a> post the following day, she reflected on what it all means to her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cseeing daisy chain come to fruition yesterday was the greatest joy of my career,\u201d she began on Sunday (Aug. 30), sharing a photo of herself and artist Jaime Gerin hugging while watching crew members taking down the festival setup. \u201criot grrrl mosh pits. friendship bracelets being made on the grass. young girls on their dads shoulders.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI am still in a bit of disbelief that it happened and I still feel incapable of properly expressing the gratitude that I feel for every person who believed in this vision and fought so hard to make it a reality,\u201d Rodrigo continued, noting that she and her friends, \u201cran around the grounds and tried to process all that we had just witnessed\u201d after the day of performances in Irvine, Calif., had concluded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cwe ended our night of frolicking at yoko onos \u2018wish tree\u2019 installation at the entrance of the festival,\u201d the Grammy winner wrote. \u201cit was the most beautiful artwork (yoko if ur reading this I love you) where festival goers wrote down something they hoped for on a tag and tied it onto a branch of a tree. we read so many of them. some were silly like I hope my dog lives forever or I hope my hair grows longer etc. but by and large almost every tag said the same thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAccording to Rodrigo, most of the people who added tags to the installation \u201choped for the world to be more peaceful, they all hoped that the people they loved were happy, they all hoped to make a difference.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cit made me so emotional and I realized that was exactly why daisy chain meant so much to me,\u201d she added. \u201cthe artwork reminded me of how we are all much more alike than we are different. and how deep down, we all just want to help each other and make the world a better place. yesterday, daisy chain felt like just that. a collective hope that things can get better and a reminder of how much we really care about people at the end of the day.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDaisy Chain Fields took place on Saturday and featured an all-women lineup that included Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Bikini Kill, The Breeders and more. Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan and surprise guest Alanis Morissette also made special appearances during Rodrigo\u2019s festival-closing headlining set.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/vogue.ph\/magazine\/olivia-rodrigo-september-october-2026-cover\/\">Vogue Philippines <\/a>cover story that was published on Monday (Aug. 31) after the festival, Rodrigo reflected on the process of curating the lineup and personally reaching out to the artists involved. \u201cNobody once was like, \u2018Oh, like, do I have to do it for free?\u2019 Or, \u2018Oh, my gosh, it\u2019s going to be too hard on my schedule,\u2019 or, like, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m going to have to fly in from another place,&#8217;\u201d she told the publication. \u201cIt makes me feel really proud to be a part of this generation of women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAll of the proceeds from the event will go toward organizations supporting women and girls, including Planned Parenthood, Center for Reproductive Rights and more. One day prior to the festival, Rodrigo announced in a press conference that ticket sales had raised $10 million in donations to the benefiting organizations, a chunk of change that Melinda French Gates later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/olivia-rodrigo-daisy-chain-fields-donation-melinda-gates-1236328282\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">matched to bring up to $20 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAnd though the first Daisy Chain Fields is now complete, Rodrigo is just getting started.
