Meanwhile, 9 countries recorded a fall, with the highest being in Cyprus (-7.7%) and Romania (-6.7%).\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/documents\/d\/products-eurostat-news\/tourism_nights_h1-26_visual_01_1920x1080_v1-100\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Overnight stays in tourism accommodation, first half of 2026 compared with first half of 2025. Bar chart - Click below to see full dataset.\" data-fileentryid=\"24169207\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Tourism_Nights_H1.26_Visual_01_1920x1080_V1-100.jpg\" width=\"700\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph ecl-u-type-align-center\">Source dataset: <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/databrowser\/view\/tour_occ_nim\/default\/table?lang=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tour_occ_nim<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">Foreign visitors (non-residents of the country, EU and non-EU) accounted for almost half (48.9%) of all overnight stays in the first half of 2026, with large differences among EU countries.
