The film is a techno-horror about a group of young people in Tokyo who begin to experience strange phenomena involving missing co-workers and friends, technological breakdown, and a mysterious website.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPlot details, including locale, for the new take are being kept under wraps. All that\u2019s known is that it\u2019s set in the modern era, revolving around a new set of characters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBoyle both wrote and directed\u00a0Never After Dark, which won the Midnighter Audience Award in its premiere at this year\u2019s SXSW Film Festival. His hiring for\u00a0Pulse\u00a0tracks, as he\u2019s long told stories either set in Japan or revolving around Japanese characters \u2014\u00a0House of Ninjas\u00a0and\u00a0Tokyo Cowboy\u00a0being just two examples.
