AFTER CATCHING A traitor on the very first night, episode three saw the players arrive with their pitchforks out, ready to find another.<\/p>\n

The show really got going in episode two<\/a>, where we learned about secret occupations, secret marriages, and saw traitor Edelle get banished \u2013 largely because of how quickly she drank a glass of water.<\/p>\n

Tonight\u2019s episode kicked off with the revelation that the remaining traitors had chosen to murder Laura during the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Laura \u2013 who was the driving force behind Edelle\u2019s demise \u2013 unfortunately had a target on her back because of her strong traitor hunting skills.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As P\u00e1raic said, \u201cshe was pretty damn good\u201d at finding them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to applaud her at one stage,\u201d Fionula said.<\/p>\n

Laura wasn\u2019t surprised to find out she was murdered. \u201cI was onto them, I made them uneasy,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The players were all devastated by the loss of Laura and her investigative skills. Except for the traitors, of course, and also Kayleigh who repeatedly said she was \u201cdelighted\u201d to hear about the murder.<\/p>\n

Things didn\u2019t stay morose for too long in Slane Castle though, as the players quickly returned to their search for the traitors.<\/p>\n

Suspicions<\/p>\n

HSE manager Se\u00e1n A led the traitor hunt to take the heat off himself after he made an unfortunate slip of the tongue at the end of episode two when he said \u201cwe need to get the faithfuls early\u201d instead of the traitors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He flexed his leadership skills by conducting several meetings with small groups made up of people he chose to reveal his traitor theories. Going full Criminal Minds on his investigation, Se\u00e1n A made a profile of the traitors, and cross-checked that against who voted for DJ instead of Edelle yesterday.<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday I was on nobodies\u2019 radar and today I\u2019m on everybody\u2019s radar. I\u2019ve got to get busy,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His verdict? Donald and Janet are guilty.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, and probably not surprisingly, Se\u00e1n A\u2019s intense t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eates had the opposite effect.<\/p>\n

The players quickly told Janet and Donal that Se\u00e1n A was creating a movement against them.<\/p>\n

Buried alive<\/p>\n

Eventually things moved on and took a bit of a deathly turn when the daily challenge was revealed:Nineteen players had to be sealed in a coffin in what Siobh\u00e1n described as a \u201ctwisted game of hide and seek\u201d.<\/p>\n

Not a great challenge for anyone with a fear of small spaces, and many were struggling.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHow long have we been in here?\u201d a tearful Janet cried at one point.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbout five or six minutes,\u201d Denis said. To be fair, it had actually been 14 minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eventually a group of players were freed by Sam, who was voted to do the job.<\/p>\n

But Carla said she would have rather stayed in the coffin when she realised they had to race to Siobh\u00e1n to finish the challenge.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once back at the castle, Saoirse said some of the women were frustrated because they felt men were repeatedly picked over them in the challenges.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Se\u00e1n A returned to his favourite task of trying to convince the group Donal, who was also in the room, was the traitor.<\/p>\n

Donal was feeling frustrated, but struggled to stand up for himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to be more defensive, more direct. I did start to think that maybe that was from my injury,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast October I broke my neck playing Gaelic football, being at home and doing nothing every day in a neck brace for so long. I thought maybe that has impacted me to not have the confidence, to not have that grit in me anymore,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Things remained tense when the players arrived at the roundtable, although there was a short moment of joy when Siobh\u00e1n told the players they had won \u20ac4,000 in today\u2019s challenge, bringing the total prize pot to \u20ac10,000 already.<\/p>\n

But the good cheer didn\u2019t last long, and the players quickly turned on each other.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Se\u00e1n A, unsurprisingly, aired his views about Donal and Janet again. David was also suspicious of Donal, but Se\u00e1n A had caught his attention too.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eventually, Pete said that expert traitor hunter Laura had told him before she was banished that she was suspicious of Se\u00e1n A too.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Janet was suspicious of Se\u00e1n A as well. \u201cYou came in today with a plan, and that plan was to pin me or [Donal],\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eventually Siobh\u00e1n subtly indicated that she was tired of the back and forth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAlright whisht, bored now, be quiet,\u201d she said, and told the players to cast their votes.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, the players voted by a vast majority to banish Se\u00e1n A, but they were shocked to learn that Se\u00e1n A was a faithful all along.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve wasted a day,\u201d one player could be heard crying.<\/p>\n

But the traitors were delighted with the turn of events.<\/p>\n

\u201cA little round of applause to Se\u00e1n for doing our work for us,\u201d Fionula said when the trio of traitors met that night.<\/p>\n

The team decided they needed a \u201csoft kill\u201d tonight to keep the heat off them and confuse the faithfuls.<\/p>\n

They narrowed the choice down to Ian, Saoirse and Aoife. Who did they choose?
