It wasn&#8217;t clear whether the company had deliberately included what looked like a pair of Mickey Mouse ears in the design \u2013 but this time, there can be no mistaking the visual pun.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8217;55&#8217; logo has started appearing on images advertising merch for the Florida destination. And not only is it a delightfully retro reference to the original &#8216;globe&#8217; icon from the resort&#8217;s opening in 1971, but it also features a much more satisfying take on those giant mouse ears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"vanilla-image-block\" style=\"padding-top:35.31%;\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sPzgYAj4b5pCLrPNTqdshU.jpg\" alt=\"Disney World logo\"   loading=\"lazy\" data-new-v2-image=\"true\" data-original-mos=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sPzgYAj4b5pCLrPNTqdshU.jpg\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sPzgYAj4b5pCLrPNTqdshU.jpg\" class=\"rounded-[var(--image--border-radius,0)] inline\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<p>The design harks back to the original 1971 Disney World logo (Image credit: Disney)<\/p>\n<p id=\"elk-050fdbc8-a61c-11f1-8e4e-1fc7c9662557\">Yes, in case it isn&#8217;t blindingly obvious, the rounded bottoms of the two &#8216;5&#8217;s sit like ears atop the retro globe.
