\n\tDuring Cardi B<\/a>\u2018s civil trial over claims the rapper physically assaulted a security guard, footage from the court room battle was quickly memeified thanks to Cardi\u2019s viral\u00a0witness-stand interrogation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlong with her memorable testimony, the Grammy-winning artist was also caught on camera dozing off as the trial was underway. When appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show in an episode aired Monday, Cardi addressed the caught-on-camera clips and fully admitted to catching a few Z\u2019s in the courtroom.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m not even going to lie, I was,\u201d said Cardi on the talk show. \u201cI had a long night! I\u2019m in the middle of an album rollout. I was so sleepy, I was trying to fight it.\u201d She added that despite trying a breathing exercise, she couldn\u2019t stay awake. <\/p>\n

\n\tWhen host Hudson asked how she was feeling post-trial, Cardi replied, \u201cI\u2019m so overwhelmed.\u201d She continued, \u201cI\u2019m in the middle of an album rollout, and I have to go to court. And then, when I get to court, I realize that it\u2019s going to be on national TV, being televised. It\u2019s like, \u2018You\u2019ve got to be kidding me\u2019 \u2026 I missed my kids\u2019 first day of school.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this month, Cardi won her civil trial <\/a>over claims she assaulted a security guard during an\u00a0argument on the fifth floor of a Beverly Hills medical building<\/a>\u00a0seven years ago, with all 12 jurors unanimously agreeing Cardi did not swing at Emani Ellis or scratch the plaintiff\u2019s face.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile the rapper asked her supporters not to \u201cbother\u201d Ellis following the verdict, Cardi warned that she won\u2019t be so forgiving going forward. \u201cThe next person who tries to do a frivolous lawsuit against me, I\u2019m going to counter-sue, and I\u2019m gonna make you pay, because this is not OK,\u201d she said outside the courthouse in Alhambra, California. \u201cI am not that celeb that you sue, and you think it\u2019s going to settle. I\u2019m not gonna settle. Especially when I\u2019m super completely innocent. I know I got a little reputation, but I swear to God, I\u2019m innocent.\u201d<\/p>\n
