Guess what just got added to the Coros Pace 4 via a free software update?<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-seasonal\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"elk-c15bd66e-a794-11f1-97f5-0f2001c24f26-2\">You can now download maps to the Coros Pace 4 and use it to follow routes with turn-by-turn directions, making it one of the most affordable<a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tomsguide.com\/us\/best-gps-watches,review-2638.html\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.tomsguide.com\/us\/best-gps-watches,review-2638.html\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-article-category=\"wellness\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.tomsguide.com\/us\/best-gps-watches,review-2638.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> sports watches<\/a> to offer this feature.<\/p>\n<p>Latest Videos FromTom&#8217;s Guide<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-collectionwidget-22920653e7cbd3999240e91de09db034\"\/><a id=\"elk-167a70b0-a795-11f1-891f-3b6a4e0e8cd1\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"elk-167a7132-a795-11f1-a988-cd6837f80119\">Coros has always done a great job of adding value to its watches with software updates long after they launch, but this is a particularly big upgrade and one I wasn\u2019t expecting. Once you\u2019ve picked your squares, hit download and your watch will connect to Wi-Fi and download the maps.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a pretty fast process in my experience, and once on your watch you can see your maps during outdoor activities by using the action button on the Pace 4 to toggle between your stats and your map.<\/p>\n<p class=\"vanilla-image-block\" Coros Pace 4 doesn\u2019t have the largest display, but the bright AMOLED screen means it\u2019s still easy to see your maps and routes during activities.<\/p>\n<p>This is a big update for an affordable sports watch, and it will be interesting to see if Garmin in particular responds, because downloadable maps have always been a feature restricted to Garmin\u2019s most expensive
