Ahead of that expected IPO, the company is reportedly in talks to raise an additional $3.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-09-04\/ai-cloud-firm-nscale-seeking-3-5-billion-in-pre-ipo-financing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">reported<\/a> Friday that the company is looking to sell $1.5 billion in convertible notes \u2014 a type of loan that can later convert into company stock \u2014 to a group of investors, while also seeking an additional $2 billion in financing from Nvidia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nvidia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/09\/25\/nvidia-backed-uk-ai-firm-nscale-raises-1point1-billion-funding-round.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">also participated<\/a> in the firm\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nscale.com\/press-releases\/nscale-series-b\" target=\"_blank\">Series B funding round<\/a> in March, a $1.1 billion raise led by investment fund Aker. Nscale hailed its round as \u201cthe largest Series B in European history.\u201d The company\u2019s Series A round, in December of 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nscale.com\/press-releases\/ai-hyperscaler-nscale-secures-usd-155-million-in-series-a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">raised $155 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TechCrunch reached out to Nscale and Nvidia for comment. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI infrastructure startups have seen immense growth amid the current era of AI enthusiasm, wherein compute has become a competitive currency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nscale recently <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/08\/26\/anthropic-continues-compute-gobbling-streak-in-45-billion-deal-with-nscale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">signed a large deal<\/a> with Anthropic worth approximately $45 billion. Earlier this week, reports emerged that Nscale had been telling potential investors that it has approximately $103 billion in revenue following the deal.
