Laois player Mark White became the latest player to fall fowl of the wrath of The Traitors on the popular RTE show last night.\n<\/p>\n

He was \u2018murdered\u2019 by Traitors Paudie and Nick at the start of the most recent episode.\n<\/p>\n

On Sunday evening, the Durrow native was left in jeopardy after the Traitors placed him and three other players on \u2018death row\u2019.\n<\/p>\n

Of those, the other players opted to save Christine which left The Traitors with the choice to kill one of Mark, Patrick or Joanne.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Mark is a deployment Team Lead at Ortus computing in Portlaoise and was described by his fellow players as \u2018astute\u2019 and \u2018perceptive\u2019.\n<\/p>\n

Before he was murdered, the Traitors picked out the fact that he could lip read due to his hearing disability as being a dangerous trait for them.<\/p>\n

Following the episode, Mark appeared on The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked where he spoke about his experience on the show with host Kevin McGahern.\n<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI did feel I could read people and I felt in there that I could read them very well \u2013 something which I proved.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI told people I could lip read and looking back now, that put a target on my back.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cThe trouble was that because I got Paudie and then Eamon straight away, when Eamon left, I thought that it couldn\u2019t be Paudie \u2013 I thought there is no way I could have two people straight away.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are on your own for so long that you start to think about everything.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we were on death row we were left in a trailer for ages.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

One regret that Mark has is that he never got the chance to play the role of the Traitor.\n<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI wanted the chance to be able to play both sides.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI left the castle not knowing anyone\u2019s surnames. I left not knowing if they were married or had kids because I needed to be able to turn.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause if someone said to me \u2018oh I need the money for my kids\u2019 or whatever, I would have felt bad. So I didn\u2019t ask them anything personal so I could switch to be a traitor.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Taking to social media afterwards, Mark thanked everyone for all of the support he has received over the last few weeks.\n<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt has been an unbelievable experience and I\u2019really glad that I did it.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI have had so many messages from people that I know and don\u2019t know and people with cochlear implants.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have just been so positive about my contribution to the show and I wanted to say thanks to everybody who reached out to me.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI am looking forward now to seeing how the rest of the show unfolds.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
