{"id":673657,"date":"2026-09-05T09:08:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T09:08:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/673657\/"},"modified":"2026-09-05T09:08:20","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T09:08:20","slug":"from-transport-to-timings-everything-you-need-to-know-about-katie-taylors-croke-park-fight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/673657\/","title":{"rendered":"From transport to timings: Everything you need to know about Katie Taylor\u2019s Croke Park fight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TONIGHT, KATIE TAYLOR will call time on an illustrious boxing career with a homecoming bout against Flora Pili in a sold-out Croke Park.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s everything you need to know about the fight, like how to get there (if you\u2019re lucky enough to have a ticket), how to watch from home, and who\u2019s going to be on the undercard.\n<\/p>\n<p>The main event<\/p>\n<p>Taylor\u2019s 27th\u00a0and final bout will take place tonight against France\u2019s 29-year-old Flora Pili in front of an 80,000-strong crowd.<\/p>\n<p>The fight, organised by Eddie Hearn\u2019s Matchroom and Aiken Promotions, is for the undisputed super-lightweight world title.<\/p>\n<p>The pair are expected in the ring around 10.10pm, although this is subject to change depending on how the undercard fights play out.<\/p>\n<p>Who\u2019s on the undercard?<\/p>\n<p>Former MMA fighter (and Taylor\u2019s cousin) Molly McCann continues her boxing journey in the undercard, while Limerick\u2019s Paddy Donovan will go toe-to-toe with Belfast\u2019s Tyrone McKenna.<\/p>\n<p>The gates to Croke Park open at 4pm, with the first fight due to get underway at around 4.05pm.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a full rundown of the undercard, with estimated fight times:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dave Allen v Thomas Carty \u2013 Heavyweight (9pm)<\/li>\n<li>Paddy Donovan v Tyrone McKenna \u2013 Welterweight (8pm)<\/li>\n<li>Taylor Bevan v Emmet Brennan \u2013 Super middleweight (7pm)<\/li>\n<li>Molly McCann v Sylwia Doligala \u2013 Super bantamweight (6.30pm)<\/li>\n<li>Joe McGrail v Matthew Boreland \u2013 Super bantamweight (5.40pm)<\/li>\n<li>Adam Olaniyan v Matej Hudak\u2013 Heavyweight (5.05pm)<\/li>\n<li>Bobbi Flood v Jack Swallow\u2013 Super welterweight (4.40pm)<\/li>\n<li>Paul Ryan v Paddy Gallagher \u2013 Middleweight (4.05pm)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And as if that\u2019s not enough action, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejournal.ie\/westlife-to-perform-at-katie-taylors-farewell-fight-in-croke-park-7151224-Sep2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Westlife are the \u201cheadline performers\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1788599300_317_.jpeg\"  alt=\"SnapInsta.to_793027928_18624632317054312_6009842368076472706_n\" class=\"alignnone inline-image\" \/><br \/>\n            Post announcing Westlife as the headline performers.                    Matchroom Boxing<\/p>\n<p>    Matchroom Boxing\n<\/p>\n<p>The band said they are \u201cso honoured to be asked by Katie to perform at this historic night\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>How to watch if you don\u2019t have a ticket<\/p>\n<p>Taylor\u2019s fight will be broadcast on RT\u00c9, following negotiations between the broadcaster, Aiken, Matchroom and Dazn.<\/p>\n<p>The fight will be live on RT\u00c9 2 and available to stream on the RT\u00c9 Player, while 2FM will provide live radio commentary.<\/p>\n<p>RT\u00c9 paid an undisclosed fee to air the fight.<\/p>\n<p>For those outside the Republic of Ireland, the fight can be viewed on sports platform Dazn, which requires a subscription.<\/p>\n<p>How to get there if you have a ticket<\/p>\n<p>For those lucky enough to have secured a ticket, extra public transport has been put on for the event and those attending have been urged to leave plenty of time to get to Croke Park.<\/p>\n<p>Irish Rail has organised extra trains and Darts, as well as later services.<\/p>\n<p>A \u201cspecial late night return service\u201d to Belfast will depart from Dublin Connolly at 11.50pm, serving Drogheda, Dundalk, Newry, Portadown and Belfast.<\/p>\n<p>For those heading west, there will be a late-night service to Athenry leaving Dublin Heuston at 12.30am.
