Blackpink singer Lisa\u2019s life is set for a cinematic release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Thai rapper, singer, dancer and actress \u2013 full name Lalisa Manobal \u2013 rose to fame as part of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, which has since gone on to become one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Five years after the band debuted, in 2021 Lisa went on to release her debut single Lalisa, followed by her solo studio album Alter Ego in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The singer, 29, is now also the subject of the documentary Always Lalisa.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"c-link\" the big screen (Doug Peters\/PA) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Directed by Sue Kim, distributors Sony Music Vision have said the film follows a \u201cpivotal year\u201d in the performer\u2019s life where \u201cfor the first time since childhood, she steps away from Blackpink for a year of independence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWith the clock ticking before her return to the group, Lisa confronts the fear and pressure of launching a solo career, pursuing acting, and building a brand, while yearning to maintain a personal life beyond the spotlight,\u201d a synopsis for the film has teased.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Always Lalisa will open in Imax and cinemas worldwide via Trafalgar Releasing for a limited time from October 12, before it streams exclusively on YouTube Premium later this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Sony Music Vision president Tom Mackay said the film offered an \u201cintimate look\u201d at the singer\u2019s \u201cincredible journey\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Trafalgar Releasing chief executive Marc Allenby has said the film \u201cgives fans an unguarded look at Lisa\u2019s trajectory from Blackpink stardom into one of the most recognised artists in the world\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cLisa is an absolute force of nature who has built an incredibly special connection with her fans at her home on YouTube,\u201d the company\u2019s global head of music Lyor Cohen said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cShe is constantly pushing boundaries and redefining what it means to be a global superstar,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Cohen also said the film\u2019s streaming rollout would give \u201cmillions of fans a front-row seat to her evolution as an artist\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"Blackpink debuted in 2016\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-paragraph\">In recent years Lisa has performed at the opening ceremony of the Fifa World Cup, Coachella, served on the Met Gala\u2019s host committee, and presented at the Golden Globes, as well as making history as the first K-pop artist to hold a Las Vegas residency \u2013 which will see her perform four sold-out shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">She also made her acting debut last year in the third season of The White Lotus and has been a global ambassador for luxury fashion houses Celine, Bulgari, and Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">While she remains part of Blackpink, Lisa\u2019s upcoming EP, Press Play, will also be released on October 23.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Tickets for the
