Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has exclusively revealed that Bethany Platt is set to become even more of an enemy to Jodie Ramsey as she investigates her sinister behaviour<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In recent scenes, Bethany has made no secret of her (reciprocated) dislike for Jodie, who has spent several months kicking up trouble for the Platt family<\/a>. Jodie’s motives so are yet to be determined, but according to Lucy, Bethany isn’t too far away from sussing them out\u2026
<\/p>\n

“Bethany is definitely onto her, in fact she has been for ages,” Lucy reveals. “Bethany knows something is not right and is not sitting well, but at the moment she’s not sure what her game is. Bethany doesn’t trust Jodie, and you’ll see in the coming months how she becomes more of a nemesis because of the things she gets up to.<\/p>\n

“From being a journalist, Bethany has good investigative skills,” the actor adds. “Maybe she could be the one to uncover the truth and take Jodie down?”
<\/p>\n

Jodie isn’t the only problem on Bethany’s mind right now though, as Sarah remains behind bars<\/a> for killing Theo back in April. The mum-of-two’s absence from the family home has forced Bethany to step up and run the household, which has proved to be a stressful task.<\/p>\n

“Bethany is 26 now so she’s not a child anymore,” notes Lucy, who has played her character for 11 years. “It’s nice to see that development in her. Bethany is an actual grown-up, and we’re seeing more of her relationship with her younger brother Harry, who she’s had to pick up the slack with.”<\/p>\n

Behind the scenes, Lucy is a mum to two little ones, and real-life parenting has given her extra confidence when filming with her on-screen brother.<\/p>\n

“Before I had kids of my own, if I had to do scenes with children I’d feel quite awkward doing it,” she explains. “But now I’m a mum I feel like I can be bossy to Joshua [Leavy, who plays Harry] if I need to be!”<\/p>\n
