Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design<\/a> foldable at the all-scenario new product launch conference at noon. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has picked the evening slot to unveil the Xiaomi 18 Fold.<\/p>\nHuawei Mate XT 2 will adopt a new internal folding design compared to the zig-zag first-gen. It will unfold like wings on the left and the right sides. A new addition will be a cover screen, carrying a large pill-shaped camera cutout on the front.<\/p>\n
Yu Chengdong, Chairman of the Smart Consumer Business Group (CBG), said that the Mate XT 2 is the first to bring a tri-fold device with a 3.5 mm thin body. This new Huawei device will come with the industry\u2019s first privacy screen on a foldable smartphone. It employs a new RGB pixel design that will retain the picture quality.<\/p>\n
The device will use Huawei\u2019s new Logic Fold chipset designed to be the most powerful Kirin chip ever produced. The Huawei Mate XT 2 comes in three colors \u2013 black, white, and purple featuring different design schemes.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Xiaomi 18 Fold adopts a wide-fold form factor. It includes a 5.38-inch cover screen and a 7.58-inch internal display.<\/p>\n
The company is aiming for a synchronized experience of a bar-type phone and a medium tablet in a single device that fits right into the user\u2019s pocket.<\/p>\n
Xiaomi 18 Fold will use its in-house Xring 03 chipset, processed with 3nm TSMC technology and HyperOS 4. The phone will use a Leica triple camera system including a 200MP main camera, a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.<\/p>\n
