The Poco X8<\/a> made its global debut alongside the more premium F9 Pro<\/a> and F9 Ultra<\/a>, and what it lacks in premiumness, it makes up for in battery.<\/p>\n

Let’s begin. The Poco X8 is already on sale. It costs \u20ac400 for the 8\/256GB model, and \u20ac450 if you want 12GB of RAM instead of 8. There are three colors: black, white, and orange. In the box, you’ll find a USB cable, as well as a case.<\/p>\n

The case is your typical grey rubber affair, but it does its job. You’ll need to supply your own charger for the Poco X8. The phone takes 67W, which is a good thing, considering it’s packing north of 8,000mAh!<\/p>\n

There’s a case in the box, but no charger<\/strong><\/p>\n

The battery is 8,340mAh, and Xiaomi says it will happily do at least 1,600 cycles before it dips to below 80% health. The phone will also charge your accessories to the tune of 22.5W reverse charging.<\/p>\n

The Poco X8 is a big phone. It has a larger-than-most 6.83-inch display and the battery we just discussed, so it’s a bit taller at 163.5mm, it’s wide at 78.3mm, and it’s neither very thin at 8.3mm nor light at 223 grams.<\/p>\n

We’re not saying that it’s a distractingly chunky phone, but it’s noticeable. Just something to bear in mind.<\/p>\n

The phone isn’t very grippy without the case, thanks to its matte frame and rear panel. Design-wise, Poco has done a fine job with what’s on offer – you’re getting a flat panel with a camera island, after all.<\/p>\n

But nice little under-the-panel touches liven the look a bit. The panel is dual-toned; there’s a nice circular silver accent around the flash, there are two fake screws on either side, and you get a small Designed by Poco plaque, accented in orange.<\/p>\n

The display is nice. It’s ample at 6.83-inch and it’s high-quality, being a bright AMOLED unit that’s also fast-refreshing at 120Hz. And at 1280p, it’s more than sharp enough.<\/p>\n

There’s very little to complain about here. You’re getting a solid phone with a nice display and a huge battery, and it’s relatively affordable at \u20ac400.<\/p>\n
