We recently spotted a work-in-progress option that lets users <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/google-play-store-download-pause-3698823\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pause and resume app downloads<\/a> at will. At the time, the feature wasn\u2019t functional. However, Google has been working on it, and this time, we finally managed to record a demo of the feature in action.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re reading an <a href=\"https:\/\/andauth.co\/AuthorityInsights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>Authority Insights<\/strong><\/a> story. Tapping it will pause the download and give you the option to \u201cResume\u201d it. By pausing the download, they can resume it later when connected to Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the last time we spotted this feature in development, it now seems to be fully working after some tinkering. So Google could start rolling it out in a future update soon. However, as with any Google update, there\u2019s always a chance the rollout will move very slowly. We will keep an eye out for further changes in the Play Store app\u2019s code and update you as we learn more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u26a0\ufe0f<\/strong> An <strong>APK teardown<\/strong> helps predict features that may arrive on a service in the future based on work-in-progress code.
