{"id":678868,"date":"2026-09-08T17:09:23","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T17:09:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/678868\/"},"modified":"2026-09-08T17:09:23","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T17:09:23","slug":"davy-expands-its-limerick-offices-as-wealth-soars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/678868\/","title":{"rendered":"Davy expands its Limerick offices as wealth soars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/6aa02c07838ddc38227.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/>\n                                    Image via Davy<\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            Davy, Ireland\u2019s largest provider of wealth management and investment banking services, is pleased to announce further investment in its Limerick-based operations, servicing Limerick and the broader Mid-West Region, which has seen significant wealth growth in recent years.\n        <\/p>\n<p>The firm has opened a new dedicated office on 125 O\u2019Connell Street, sharing a building with the Bank of Ireland branch, led by Limerick native and experienced wealth adviser James Rael.<\/p>\n<p>The office will be supported by a team of six regional wealth specialists and financial planning, tax and investment teams based in Davy\u2019s Dublin headquarters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strong growth in Limerick and the Mid-West<\/strong><br \/>The move comes on the back of very strong growth in demand for Davy&#8217;s wealth management services across Limerick City and County in recent years, with client numbers almost doubling and assets under management more than trebling over the past five years.<\/p>\n<p>Growth in Limerick has significantly outpaced the wider group average over the same period.<\/p>\n<p>A similar trend is evident across the wider Mid-West region, with both Clare and Tipperary also recording strong growth in client numbers and assets under management since 2021.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/6aa02ce89344591b6b9.jpg\" style=\"width: 537px; height: 358px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Davy attributes the growth of its Limerick business to a combination of factors, including strong growth in high-value multinational employment in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>The average disposable income of individuals living in Limerick was the second-highest of any county in Ireland in 2024 (the most recent year for which data is available), behind only Dublin and ahead of Cork.<\/p>\n<p>There is also an established base of Irish-owned businesses of scale (circa 70), with manufacturing, construction, wholesale and services as the most prevalent industries.<\/p>\n<p>New company registrations in the past five years numbered more than 2,000, making up close to 30% of all companies registered in the county.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commenting, James Rael, who leads Davy&#8217;s Limerick office, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLimerick is rapidly growing as an exciting hub for business, as demonstrated by the significant growth in new businesses and new Davy clients.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re delighted to officially open our new office to service Limerick and the wider Mid-West region.
